Objective(s): To assess the behavior that impedes the eating of children with autism spectrum disorders in Baghdad city, and find out the relationships between the behaviors that impede eating of autistic children and their demographic characteristics.
Methodology: The study started from the period of 16th September 2019 to the 16th of March 2020. A non-probability (purposive) sample of 80 children with autism spectrum disorders was selected. The questionnaire was designed and composed of two parts: the first part includes the autistic children demographic data, the second part includes scales of behavior that impede eating followed by parents towards autistic child. The reliability of the questionnaire was determined through a pilot study and the validity through a panel of (14) experts. The data were collected by questionnaire. The data were described statistically and analyzed through the use of descriptive and inferential statistical analysis procedures.
Results: The results of the present study indicated that feeding behaviors of autistic children were affected at moderate level, with respect to the relation of autistic children socio-demographic data with their feeding behaviors levels, no significant association was determined.

Reaction of Thiols with formaldehyde in Presnce of succinimid and Reduction of Phenyl Tetrazole Derivative with Hydrogen and Borohydraide

One of most the important compounds which have active hydrogen (substrate) is the thiols which used in a wide field in preparation of Mannich bases . A large number of Mannich bases have been prepared as a biologically active compound (pharmaceutical, pesticides, bactericidal, fungicidal and tuberculostatic) and in order to correlate their structure and reactivity with their pharmacological activity such as . It has been reported that the reaction is easily proceeded by using primary and secondary amine beside formaldehyde. But when we tried the reaction of thiols as substrate and formaldehyde and succinimide instead of amine, the reaction did not proceed to give Mannich base but product were methylenene – bis – sulfide . The Diwan of Imam Al-Shafi’i acquires great importance, as Al-Shafi’i is an authority in the language, and when I saw that no one had preceded me in exploring its depths, I took my tool and turned my face towards it intending to study the triple verb in it. I stop at these verbs and the student pauses for their morphological forms, looking at the significance of the triple verb more with one letter, two letters, and three letters, and I found that they are many, and such research cannot contain them all, so the choice came to choose the triple verb more with one letter, and the significance of the increase in it, as the increase in The building necessitates an increase in the meaning, and from here the study was limited to the triple

Quantitative Determination of Fluoroquinolones in Contaminated Soils by HPLC with Solid-Phase Extraction
...Show More Authors

This work reports the development of an analytical method for the simultaneous analysis of three fluoroquinolones; ciprofloxacin (CIP), norfloxacin (NOR) and ofloxacin (OFL) in soil matrix. The proposed method was performed by using microwave-assisted extraction (MAE), solid-phase extraction (SPE) for samples purification, and finally the pre-concentrated samples were analyzed by HPLC detector. In this study, various organic solvents were tested to extract the test compounds, and the extraction performance was evaluated by testing various parameters including extraction solvent, solvent volume, extraction time, temperature and number of the extraction cycles. The current method showed a good linearity over the concentration ranging from

The Chinese vision of US rapprochement with Taiwan in the administration of President Joe Biden

The recent escalation in Southeast Asia showed that the region is on the verge of political and economic crises through the United States and its allies imposing economic sanctions against China, and a military escalation that may begin with China’s invasion of Taiwan, especially since two-thirds of the American forces in the world are located in the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea.

The United States claims that it is ready to defend the island of Taiwan in the event of the start of Chinese military operations, but the reality shows that the United States supports Taiwan militarily by equipping it with modern weapons to defend itself. Supporting Taiwan economically by engaging it in trade agreements with US allies in the r

Measurement of Serum Trace Elements (Zinc, Copper, Magnesium and Iron) Concentrations in Pediatric Patients with Otitis Media with Effusion in Iraq
...Show More Authors

Otitis media with effusion (OME) is a common disease especially among young children (before school age) and it is one of the common causes of acquired hearing loss in childhood. Pediatric patients with OME are usually undernourished. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the serum levels of trace elements (zinc, copper, magnesium, iron) have a role in the development of OME in children. This study carried out on 55 children and subdivided them into two groups. Group 1 (patient group) consist of 30 children suffering from OME and group 2 (control group) included 25 apparently healthy children. Serum levels of zinc, copper, magnesium and iron were measured for both groups. Comparison the results between the two groups showed t

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in females. In Iraq there are noticeable elevation in incidence rates and prevalence of advanced stages of breast cancer. Ferritin is intracellular iron storage protein abundant in circulation and its main application in differential diagnosis of anemia.

The level of serum ferritin was found raised in various cancers including breast cancer. The aim of this study was to assess whether the serum ferritin concentration would be altered in Iraqi women with breast cancer and it could be related to progression of disease.

Sixty eight females participated in this study. The mean age of these females was 53.25± 9.52 .The level of serum ferritin was measured in 24
