Objectives: to determine the effectiveness of an Education Program on Nurses' Knowledge regarding management of extravasation vesicant intravenous chemotherapy

Methodology: quiz-experimental study (single-group pretest-posttest1 and posttest2) was directed in Amal oncology center and national oncology center in Baghdad city from 13th, December 2018 to the 7 of February 2019. The program and tool have been created by the researcher for the purpose of the study. A non- probability purposive sample of (40) nurses who employed in Baghdad oncology centers. Validity and reliability of the instrument were determined through a pilot study. Data were analyzed through the use of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version. Descriptive and inferential statistical measures were employed.

Results: The study results of pre-test for the participants of nurses revealed poor knowledge regarding overall management extravasation. While the results of post- 1 test exposed that the improved knowledge and stability by post 2 test indicated the positive effect of the education program about management extravasation.

.Recommendations: The researcher recommends a vital need of generalization of all the centers and hospitals that are given chemotherapy for educational and awareness program about management extravasation for nursing staff Regardless of gender and age difference.

...Show More Authors

A case–control study (80 patients with chronic hepatitis B virus [HBV] infection and 96 controls) was performed to evaluate the association of an IL12A gene variant (rs582537 A/C/G) with HBV infection. Allele G showed a signifcantly lower frequency in patients compared to controls (31.2 vs. 46.9%; probability [p]=0.009; corrected p [pc]=0.027) and was associated with a lower risk of HBV infection (odds ratio [OR]=0.49; 95% confdence interval [CI]=0.29–0.83). A similar lower risk was associated with genotypes CG (17.5 vs. 29.2; OR=0.25; 95% CI=0.08–0.81; p=0.02) and GG (10.0 vs. 16.7; OR=0.25; 95% CI=0.07–0.91; p=0.036), but the pc value was not signifcant (0.12 and 0.126, respec‑ tively). Serum IL35 levels showed signifcant difere

The Dissipation of the Kinetic Energy for 2D Bounded Flow by Using Moment-Based Boundary Conditions with Burnett Order Stress for LBM
...Show More Authors

In this article, the lattice Boltzmann method with two relaxation time  (TRT)  for the  D2Q9 model is used to investigate numerical results for 2D flow. The problem is performed to show the dissipation of the kinetic energy rate and its relationship with the enstrophy growth for 2D dipole wall collision. The investigation is carried out for normal collision and oblique incidents at an angle of . We prove the accuracy of moment -based boundary conditions with slip and Navier-Maxwell slip conditions to simulate this flow. These conditions are under the effect of Burnett-order stress conditions that are consistent with the discrete Boltzmann equation. Stable results are found by using this kind of boundary condition where d

Compare Estimate Methods of Parameter to Scheffʼe Mixture Model By Using Generalized Inverse and The Stepwise Regression procedure for Treatment Multicollinearity Problem
...Show More Authors

Mixture experiments are response variables based on the proportions of component for this mixture. In our research we will compare the scheffʼe model with the kronecker model for the mixture experiments, especially when the experimental area is restricted.

Because of the experience of the mixture of high correlation problem and the problem of multicollinearity between the explanatory variables, which has an effect on the calculation of the Fisher information matrix of the regression model.

to estimate the parameters of the mixture model, we used the (generalized inverse ) And the Stepwise Regression procedure

Synthesis of new Schiff bases derived from [3-amino-3-C-cyano-3-deoxy-1,2:5,6-di-O-isopropylidene-α-D-allofuranose
...Show More Authors

Aromatic Schiff-bases are known to have antibacterial activity, but most of these compounds are sparingly soluble in water. The present work describes the synthesis of new Schiff-bases derived from branched aminosugars. Treatment of 3-Amino-3-Cyano-3-Deoxy-1,2:5,6-Di-O-Isopropylene-α-D-Allofuranose (1) with the aldehydes (2) under reflux in methanol afforded the Schiff-bases (3) in good yields. The new Schiff-bases were in accord with their NMR, IR spectral data and elemental analysis.
