Objective: The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of preoperative psycho - education al
program on cardiac surgery patients information and their level of stress. And find out the differences
in the Psycho educational
program with regard to patients demographic characteristics such as age and gender.
Methodology Aquazi-experimental study was carried out to determine the effectiveness of
preoperative education program on stress for cardiac surgery patients in Baghdad city from the 28th of
March, 2010 , to 19th of September ,2011.
The preoperative psycho - educational program, as well as the questionnaire was constructed as a tool of
data collection for the purpose of the study. Purposive (non probability) samples of 40 patients who
have undergone cardiac surgery (CABG &VR) are selected from Ibn AL-Bitar Specialized Center for
cardiac surgery. The researcher divided the samples into two equal groups (the study and control
groups) .
Data was analysis through the use of the suitable statistical methods.
Results: The results of the study indicates that there are significant differences in the patients
knowledge towards cardiac surgery in the study & control groups through pre-test, post-test.
Recommendations: The study recommended that such program should be implemented in the form of
session for the patients before undergone cardiac surgery to prepare them to cope with the stress and
improve their knowledge.
The experiment was conducted at the faculty of agriculture University of Ain Shams-Egypt, from January to March 2008, to study the effect of different levels of chromium yeast (cr-yeast) on broiler chickens on some physiological traits. A total of 450, one-day old unsexed chickens (Cobb) strain were used. The birds were randomly allocated to five treatments with 3 replicates each. The treatments were control (T1), without supplementation, T2, T3, T4 and T5 which were supplemented with 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 mg cr-yeast/kg diet respectively. A novel fractal design scheme has been introduced in this paper to generate microstrip bandpass filter designs with miniaturized sizes for wireless applications. The presented fractal scheme is based on Minkowski-like prefractal geometry. The space-filling property and self-similarity of this fractal geometry has found to produce reduced size symmetrical structures corresponding to the successive iteration levels. Dynamic Thermal Management (DTM) emerged as a solution to address the reliability challenges with thermal hotspots and unbalanced temperatures. DTM efficiency is highly affected by the accuracy of the temperature information presented to the DTM manager. This work aims to investigate the effect of inaccuracy caused by the deep sub-micron (DSM) noise during the transmission of temperature information to the manager on DTM efficiency. A simulation framework has been developed and results show up to 38% DTM performance degradation and 18% unattended cycles in emergency temperature under DSM noise. The finding highlights the importance of further research in providing reliable on-chip data transmission in DTM application.
