Objectives: to compare health of mothers and neonatal among age groups, to find out the correlation between
age groups and mother and neonatal health.
Methodology: A descriptive study was carried out at delivery rooms of three teaching hospitals in Baghdad city
from Feb. 28th through May. 28th
, 2013. A purposive (non-probability) sample of 300 laboring women was selected
from delivery rooms categorized into three groups, group 1 (≤19) years, group 2 their age between (20-35) years
old and group 3 their age (≥35) years. The data were collected through the use of constructing questionnaire, an
interview technique with mothers and reviewing their medical records as means of data collection; The
questionnaire consist of 3 parts: (1) demographic data (2) health of mothers during pregnancy (pregnancy
complications) (3) neonate health status. The validity of the study questionnaire was determined through a panel
of experts and the reliability of the study questionnaire was determine by the application of pilot study.
Descriptive statistical analysis procedure (frequencies and percentages) and inferential data analysis procedure
(chi-square, P-value, split- half approach and Cronbach's Alpha correlation coefficients) were applied for data
analysis.
Results: the finding of the study indicated that the highest percentages of all the study groups were primary school
graduates, urban and housewives. More than half of mothers in group 1 (teenage mothers) and group 2 (20-35)
years were related to their husband, while the highest percentages of mothers in group 3 (advanced maternal age)
were not related to their husband. The highest percentages of complications present in group 1 (teenage mothers)
were anemia, urinary tract infection, multiple pregnancy, Oligohydramnios, poly-hydramnios, intra uterine growth
retardation, Post-term labor, low Apgar score, low birth weight, congenital anomalies, respiratory distrees
syndrome, meconium aspiration syndrome and neonatal death. The highest percentages of complications present
in group 3 (advanced maternal age) were pregnancy induced hypertension, gestational diabetes, antepartum
haemorrhage, pre-term labor, premature rupture of membrane and macrosomia. There is a statistical significant
correlation between age groups and hypertension and preterm, Apgar score, neonatal weight and respiratory
distress syndrome.
Recommendations: Care providers need to be aware about the increasing of obstetrical and neonatal health
complications in the extremities of maternal age (teenage and advanced maternal age) and adjust obstetrical and
neonatal management protocols to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal health
In this paper new methods were presented based on technique of differences which is the difference- based modified jackknifed generalized ridge regression estimator(DMJGR) and difference-based generalized jackknifed ridge regression estimator(DGJR), in estimating the parameters of linear part of the partially linear model. As for the nonlinear part represented by the nonparametric function, it was estimated using Nadaraya Watson smoother. The partially linear model was compared using these proposed methods with other estimators based on differencing technique through the MSE comparison criterion in simulation study.

Key-frame selection plays an important role in facial expression recognition systems. It helps in selecting the most representative frames that capture the different poses of the face. The effect of the number of selected keyframes has been studied in this paper to find its impact on the final accuracy of the emotion recognition system. This work presents the study of the dark current density and the capacitance for porous silicon prepared by photo-electrochemical etching for n-type silicon with laser power density of 10mw/cm2 and wavelength (650nm) under different anodization time (30,40,50,60) minute. this study aimed to study the effect of Cordia myxa extract on the growth and activities of the following types of bacteria : Escherichia coli , Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus Spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae , Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes , Bacillus subtilus, and the yeast Candida albicans .the results showed an inhibitory effect of the methanol extract on both the growth and activity of the tested microbes .this was reflected by the minimum inhibitory concentration ( MIC ) of different type of bacteria and the yeast.

Larval instar duration of the house fly Musca domesticais influenced by the application of GHA and precocine. Topical use of ug / ul of JHA KID 183 prolonge Juvenile period compared to the control. On the contrary, application of ug / ul of precocine decreased it. Application of both substances has no effect. The emergence inhibitors were also influenced by such treatments. It reached 52.39% by the use of JHA, (-14.28%) by the use of precocine.
Purepolyaniline and doped with hydrochloric acid was prepared in different molarities at room temperature. The a.c electrical properties were stadied.AC conductivityσac (ω), is found to vary as ωS in the frequency range (100Hz-10MH), S< 1and decreases indicating a dominate hopping process. Thedielectric constant ε1and dielectric loss ε2 have been determined for bulk polyaniline. ε1 decrease with the increase frequency. Electrical conductivity measurements increase with the increases both of the amount of HCl and the dose of radiation. The dielectric investigations show decrease with dose radiation.
