Objective: determine the effectiveness of an education program on youth's level of awareness towards
household waste control.
Methodology: A Quazi-experimental study was conducted. Non-probability (quota sample) of (80) young
persons is selected from Baghdad Governorate. They are divided into two equal groups of (40) subjects for the
study group which is exposed to the household waste control educational program. The remaining is the
control group which is not exposed to the educational program.
Results: The findings of the study indicated that youth of the study group have got benefits from the
implementation of the educational program towards household waste control and change has occurred to
their awareness towards such control.
Recommendations: The study recommends that the role of television upon youth's awareness can be
activated through presenting the household waste control educational program which may facilitate to bring
the information for long distance area and increase wide-range awareness of youth.
With the growth of democratic thought in our country, widened the trading term
citizenship to the magnitude of the meanings of participation in political life, economic, social
and cultural rights, as the recipe ( citizen ) does not mean only affiliation to the homeland and
link him as a child , but is as such an actor in various fields has his being independent , and
own convictions and the right to freely express his views and personal choices and play a
positive role in public life . Do not correct the democratic structure of any state without the
manifestation of the spirit of citizenship in the relations of each individual citizen to state
institutions.

Study of group action of stone columns using FEM
The varied applications of polystyrene in various fields of life led to examining the cause of radiation influence on some rheological behavior of commercial Polystyrene (PS) solution in the chloroform (CHCl3) solvent. Polystyrene grains shape samples were irradiated using the radioactive element Cesium- 137 with (9 µci) activity for 10, 20, and 30 minutes. The viscosity of the polymer solution depends on the concentration and size (i.e. molecular weight) of the dissolved polymer. Batch reactive distillation was studied in packed bed column. Esterification of methanol with acetic acid to produce methyl acetate and water with homogenous sulfuric acid as a catalyst was considered. This system was chosen because the reaction is reversible and the boiling point of reactant and products are different.
The reaction was carried out with and without distillation column and shows that the reactive distillation is more efficient from the conventional process (reactor and then separation). The conversion of acetic acid and concentration of methyl acetate increase by (30.43% and 75.14%) respectively at the best condition (reflux ratio 2, feed mole ratio 2 and batch time 90 minute).
