Objectives: study the relation between the effect of time (long time duration) with high concentration of iodine
and study its effect on the activity of the thyroid gland (homonal and histological changes).
Methodology: An experimental study was done on (30) albino rats (8 weeks of age) to know the effect of high
concentration of iodine on the activity of the thyroid gland aiormonal and histological changes) related with
time. The study last for six months for the period of I/2/2007 to 31/7/2007, the experiment was carried out in the
research lab. of pathology deparment, College of Medicine, University of Baghdad.
Results: The study shows changes in homonal levels of thyroid hormones (T3 & T4) and also histological
changes in the diameter and numbers of thyroid follicles and increase in the numbers of active hot follicles and
decrease in the numbers of inactive cold follicles. The hot follicles takes faint blue colour after using the toluiden
blue dye to stain the thyroid tissue while the cold follicles takes deep dark blue colour in the thyroid gland
section when using the same dye.
Recommendations: Canying out such a study for long time duration (lyear or more), and to study the
correlation between the experimental results and the behavior of the human, and study the effect of iodine in
different concentrations in mixture with thyroxin hormone
In this study, gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were synthesized using a plasma jet system at different exposure times. Using ultraviolet, visible spectra, X-ray diffraction, the nanoparticles were characterized (XRD). A Plasmon surface resonance concentrated at 530, 540, and 533 nm for the prepared AuNPs. The pattern of XRD showed that the extreme peaks of the film reflect crystalline existence. The face-centered cubic structure of the gold nanoparticles was prepared for all samples, with an average crystallite size of 25-40 nm. The effect of AuNPs in vivo on liver function levels was measured. For all doses, we notice an increase in the ranks of liver function in the blood during the period of dosing, and it begins to decrease when the dosi

The effect of Cu dopants concentration on the structural, morphological, optical and electrical properties of (SnSe) Nano crystalline thin films was explored by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), UV–Vis absorption spectroscopy and Hall Effect measurement respectively. X-ray diffraction analysis reveal the polycrystalline nature of the all films deposited with orthorhombic structure which possess a preferred orientation along the (111) plane. The crystalline sizes o

As well as knowing the nature of the relationship and the impact on the company. To achieve the objectives of the research, one main hypothesis was formulated, and three sub-hypotheses emerged from it. As the research relied on an analytical survey approach, the research targeted the workers within this company, And he reached a set of results, based on which a number of conclusions were formulated. The research community consisted of (185) individuals, and (160)

The effects were Congestion ,Infiltration ,Swelling ,Vaculation ,Hyalinization , Amyloid and Necrosis.
Dynamic loads highly influence soil properties and may cause real damage to structures and buildings. This article reports the experimental results from 24 tests to study the settlement of flexible and rigid raft foundation with different embedment depth rested on dense sandy soil. A small scale building model of dimension 200*200 mm and 320 mm in height was performed with reinforced concrete raft foundation of 10 mm thickness for flexible raft and 23 mm for rigid raft, The shaking table technique was used to simulate the seismic effect, the shaker was sat to give three different excitation frequencies 1,2,and3 Hz and displacement amplitude equal to 13 mm, the foundation was placed at

Pregnancy is a stressful condition in which many physiological and metabolic functions are altered to a considerable extent . Pregnancy is a physiological state accompanied by a high-energy demand and an increased oxygen requirement. The present study aim to study selenium ,zinc cupper in the first trimester of pregnancy. The study group comprised of Fourty five pregnant women and twenty six non pregnant women as control . The samples were taken from pregnant women who come to several heath center in Baghdad city to cheak up. Laboratory investigations including Cupper, Ceruloplasmin, Total Antioxidant (TAA), malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), Zinc, Uric acid, and Selenium had been measured in pregnant women and control .
