Objectives: To assess the premenstrual syndrome among the working women in Baghdad City.
Methodology: A cross-sectional analytic study, using probability sampling cluster (multi-stage) sampling of

designed and consisted of (4) parts, including demographic, reproductive, menstrual cycle characteristics, and
premeustmual syndrome symptoms. Content validity and reliability of the questionnaire were detemined by
conducting a pilot study. Descriptive and inferential statistical procedures were used to analyze the data.
Results: The results of the study revealed that the age of women ranged between 30-34 years. The highest
percentage of them was college graduates, most of them was unmarried and most of them was with low
socioeconomic status. The majority of the study sample had moderate level of premenstnral syndrome
symptoms. There were no statistically significant differences between premenstrual syndrome symptoms and
demographic, menstrual cycle characteristics and history of premenstrual syndrome, while there were
statistically significant differences between premenstnral syndrome symptoms and reproductive characteristics.
Recommendation: The study recommends to educate women about the premenstrual syndrome symptoms by
health educational program and reactivate women health clinic to deal with menstrual disorders.
The current study aimed to reveal the moral values available in the Arabic language textbook (Al-Mu’nes) for grades eleven and twelve for post-basic education in the Sultanate of Oman. The result showed that hot water and ethanol extracts of Nigella sativa contain alkaloids ,saponins, flavonoids,tannins,glycosides,terpins and steroids. Albino mice were administered orally with 0.1 of the extract at dose of 100 mg/kg, body weight the results showed high level of white blood cell ,total and differential count of WBC,phagocytosis index, mitotic index, Arthus and delayed type hypersensitivity. The result, also showed high level of hemoglobin (Hb) and the packed cell volume (PCV) the alcoholic extract has been found more efficient than hot water extract on mice.

The aim of this study is to recognize the influence of model of active thinking in achievement ofeighth grade students andtheir visual thinking in science.The finds of this research show the superiority students of the experimental group who studied the science material by using the active thinking model on the students of the control group who studied by usual method, in the achievement test. Also the finds show that the students of the experimental group are more successful than students of control group in the test of visual thinking, so the two null hypotheses have been rejected.
