Objectives: The study aims to assess the nutritional status, identify nutrition-related health problems and
find out the relationships between nutritional status and demographic characteristics of the pregnant
adolescents in Baghdad City.
Methodology: A descriptive study was carried out from April/20/2009 to June/30/2009 through a "Nonprobability"
purposive sample of (196) pregnant adolescents their age between (13–19) years who attend (14)
primary health care centers in Baghdad City seeking for antenatal care. The data were collected by the
investigator who interviewed the pregnant adolescents and filled out the constructed questionnaire formats
which designed for the purpose of the study. Internal consistency of reliability determined through the
computation of alpha-Chronbach correlation coefficient for quality of life items. Test-retest of reliability was
determined through the computation of Spearman's correlation coefficient for the same items. The content
validity of the constructed questionnaire was determined through a panel of experts. Data were analyzed
through the application of descriptive statistical approach (frequencies and percentages) and inferential
statistical approach (Chi-Square).
Results: The findings revealed that imparity in weight per (kg) according to the pregnancy trimester recorded
the following mean values (after excluding the extreme values). 1st trimester (0.00 – 0.66kg), 2nd trimester
(2.83 – 3.51kg) and 3rd trimester (4.90 – 6.96kg). Regarding nutritional related problems; anemia,
hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, protein urea (trace), teeth decay and urinary tract infection, nausea, vomiting,
and heartburn. Common dietary patterns: skipping meals, snacks eating, food dislike, and not drinking enough
amounts of water or beverages daily(6–8) glasses, The dietary intake through the (24) hours diet recall and
food frequency questionnaire which in comparison with food pyramid do not meet daily requirements of their
servings.
Recommendations: The study recommends health promotion and nutrition-oriented education programs
can be designed, structured and presented to female adolescents to prepare them for a healthy marriage and
pregnancy.
This paper aims to study the effect of circular Y-shaped fin arrangement to improve the low thermal response rates of a double-tube heat exchanger containing Paraffin phase change material (PCM). ANSYS software is employed to perform the computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulations of the heat exchanger, including fluid flow, heat transfer, and the phase change process. The optimum state of the fin configuration is derived through sensitivity analysis by evaluating the geometrical parameters of the Y-shaped fin. For the same height of the fins (10 mm), the solidification time is reduced by almost 22%, and the discharging rate is enhanced by almost 26% using Y-shaped fins compared with the straight fins. The results demonstrate that the sol

Solar stills offer an economical, sustainable solution; however, their yield is limited. This study aims to evaluate a new tracking concentrated tilted tubular solar still equipped with a heat‐pipe TTSS‐HP. The novelty of the present work lies in four aspects: a novel trough U‐channel design that improves the interception of reflected solar radiation, a novel hexagonal glass cover design. A receiver formed of four‐sections, combined with a heat‐pipe and dual trough concentrators. Outdoor experiments are carried out in Baghdad, Iraq (33.27° N, 44.37° E),
In this study, the new azo dye,5,5-[1,2-phenylenebis(2,1-biazenediyl)] bis[8-quinolino], was used to synthesize complexes with Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, and Cd2+ ions. The compounds were characterized using 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), diffevential scanning calovimltry (DSC), CHN analysis. Further, conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, and metal and chlorine content analysis using FT-IR spectroscopy revealed that the ligand chelates as a bidentate (OH) phenol group and a bidentate (C=N) ring group. The ligand exhibited tetradentate behavior, forming tetrahedral complexe

Certain appropriate models (sprawling growth patterns) have been adopted to plan this city, and tables and a future map have been prepared to arrange this city. Land uses for public services will be proposed for adopted case(Aziziyah in Kut / Wasit Governorate). This paper describes a specific application of GIS functionalities for spatial planning analysis, examines the breadth of GIS and attempts to address the analytical part’s limitations in planning studies. For this sport to be a success, fundamental factors must exist and these factors is the referee. The referee plays a large and important role in the success of the game and the establishment and application of rules. The research aimed at identifying the effect of special on the development of referee's physical abilities. The researcher used the experimental method. The subjects were (12) first class basketball referees. The researcher recommended using special exercises due to their great role in developing the physical abilities of first class basketball referees
The objective of the research is to identify the efficiency of risk management in various names at Baghdad International Airport in the face of various risks (financial - technical - human - natural ..) facing the sample of the search of the General Establishment of Civil Aviation and the Iraqi Airways Company where the researcher identified the hypothesis that summarizes There is a significant significant correlation between risk management, risk management and risk review and assessment.
