Objective(s): This study aims to evaluate the hardness of two commercially available cold cured acrylic resin material
(Vertex and PAN) when polymerized at different temperature in comparison to those polymerized by conventional
methods in air at 23C ± 5C.
Methodology: Eighty specimens, forty from cold cured acrylic (Vertex Type) and forty from cold cured acrylic (PAN
type) were prepared, flasking and packing procedure were done according to manufacturer direction and divided
according to processing as follow: 20 specimens (10 from Vertex type and 10 from PAN type) were processed in air for
two hours at 23C ± 5C under press (bench curing) as a control, and 60 specimens (30 from Vertex type and 30 from
PAN type) were processed by ivomat curing device containing water under air pressure 30 Pascal for 15 minutes at
different temperature: 40C, 60C, and 80C (10 specimens for each groups). All specimens were tested for hardness test
by shore D device.
Results: Result showed that cold cured acrylic type PAN (polymerized by elevated temperature 80˚C) show the
maximum value of hardness (88.696) followed by cold cured acrylic type vertex polymerized at 60˚C (88.471). While,
control group type PAN (polymerized at air bench) recorded the minimum value of hardness (81.83). All groups that
polymerized at high temperature: 40C, 60C, and 80C show the higher value of hardness in comparison to those
processed by conventional methods (at air bench) with significant and highly significant differences.
Recommendations: Studies need to study the effect of increasing time and pressure of curing process on the hardness
of cold cure acrylic material, also to study the effect of increasing temperature of curing on the other properties of
cold cure acrylic material.
The research aimed to know the effect of the Parashot strategy in developing the reading comprehension skills of first-grade intermediate students in reading. The researchers put the following two null hypotheses: There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who study the subject Reading with the Parashot strategy in the pre and post-tests in developing reading comprehension skills as a whole. There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who study the reading material using the Parashot strategy and the average scores of the control group students who study the same subje

The researcher used the Descriptive Approach based on the analysis method according to the Cognitive Theory. The study tools consist of a list of Design Thinking Indicators and a Content Analysis Tool. The researcher completed the Validity and Reliability procedures for the tools. After applying them, the results of the study resulted in the following: Greater Interest than other sub-skills. The results also showed a Divergence of care for the sub-skills and the Difference in their recurrence rate, and the Omission of some

Thus, it ensures the expected reaction from the recipient’s interaction with the game, so we seek his interaction with the content he receives. It is no secret that games distance him from boring content and introduce him to the world of motivation by integrating them with magical elements that make an attractive and desirable game. Naturally, in the case of stimuli and motives that activate the recipient within the context of the educational process procedures, the return is high and especially enjoyable. Providing Iraqi students with proficiency in English is the ultimate goal of the educational system which is a way of getting knowledge in the fields of arts, sciences, transferring knowledge and sciences to other communities. Therefore, conducting such a type of study is very important because the contents of English textbooks have a huge influence on learning of the students. Once the content of English textbooks contain errors as the correct one, this will effect on his/her learning. The present study is an attempt to evaluate the new course entitled “English for Iraq” for fifth grade students for secondary schools, by Olivia Johnston and Mark Farell. It aims to answer eleven questions relating to the following domains: strength, obj
