Evaluation of Antioxidant Activity of Acoholic Extracts from Pleurotus ostreatus (P2) In Vivo

In this study found treatment mice exposed to CCl4 with the alcoholic extract of Pleurotus ostreatus (P2) at (25) mg/ml appeared to exert a beneficial effect since the activities of catalase, was significantly (p<0.05) higher in liver treatment with alcoholic extract of P. ostreatus (P2) (37.290+2.638) μmol/mg than in aqueous extract for the same fungus (36.557+2.231) μmol/mg. Super oxide dismutase (SOD) was significantly (p<0.05) higher in liver treatment with alcoholic extract of P. ostreatus (P2) at (25) mg/ml (17.863+0.454)U/mg than in aqueous extract (17.863+0.454) U/mg for the same fungus and same concentration. Glutathione peroxidase (Gpx) was significantly (p<0.05) higher in liver treatment with alcoholic extract of P. ostreatus(P2) at (25) mg/ml (29.260+1.666)μmol/mg than in aqueous extract (24.660+1.130)μmol/mg for the same fungus and same concentration. Alcoholic extract of P .ostreatus (P2) at (25) mg/ml induce a non-apoptotic, apoptosis was (0.0657+0.0047%) ,in aqueous extract was (0.0770+0.0060%). Histopathological study appeared liver cells exposed to CCl4, CCl4 made severe degeneration and necrotic change in liver parenchyma by evidence of apoptosis in some hepatocytes , in sinusoids showed slight congestion with blood vessel and thrombus formation. Liver cells of mouse exposed to CCl4 and treated with alcoholic mushroom extract and appeared the liver cells returned like control. the tissue treatment by aqueous extract of P.ostreatus (P2) at (25) mg/ml appeared mononuclear cells aggregation.

Ceruloplasmin is considered the main copper transport protein which is proposed to have a role in cancer. Ceruloplasmin is an acute phase reactant and antioxidant enzyme, has been found to be increased in sera of patients with several types of cancers including breast cancer.

Effects of ZnO NPS on Streptococcus pyogenes in vivo

In vivo study revealed that ZnO nanoparticles treatment of Streptococcus SPP contaminated injured skin showed good prognosis and good healing process include complete regeneration of the epithelial cells of the epidermis and increase of cellulartiy of the dermal content compared with untreated group. In conclusion, treatment of S. pyogenes infected skin with Zinc oxide nanoparticles concentration (2 mg/ml) limit the skin damage and localized the lesion to the incision site with good healing process

Induced callus from seedlings of Peganum harmala L. and studying harmine compound concentration in vitro and in vivo by GC analysis

Plant tissue culture considers a benefit biotechnological technique for scientific research especially the production of undifferentiation callus cells and regeneration through suspension or static media. The seedlings of Peganum harmala was used as a source to produce callus mass in vitro in static media through different tissue culture media supplemented by varying combinations of plant growth regulators (PGR). Anticorrosion, antimicrobial and antioxidant study of ZnO nanoparticles synthesized from Punica granatum (Pomegranate) extract

Metal and metal oxide NPs have shown to be perfectly synthesized by using plant extracts with high efficiency, low cost and low toxicity. Our goal was to synthesize ZnO NPs by using an extract of pomegranate seeds and investigate the anticorrosion, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties of the synthesized ZnO NPs. Study Antibacterial Activity of Crude Capparis spinosa L. Extracts Against Helicobacter pylori Infection and Determine Their Bioactive Compounds

The antibacterial activity of Capparis spinosa L. extracts obtained from Baghdad was evaluated against six clinical bacteria isolates of Helicobacter pylori. The results presented in this work demonstrated that the leaves extract showed a significant effect against bacteria as compared to the root and fruit extracts at 100 mg/ml concentration, with inhibition zone ranging from 12.0 to 30.7 mm in each bacteria strain.
