The magnetic field effect on the current-voltage characteristic curves of glow discharge in argon at low pressures has been experimentally investigated. The electrical discharge was ignited in a stainless steel tapered chamber of a nominal volume of 0.5m3 immersed inside a water-cooled coil capable of delivering a magnetic field of strength B of up to 0.42T. Three water-cooled electrodes were inserted into the chamber up to a point where their tips were 20cm away from the surface of the central column of the chamber. An enhancement of the electric field configuration within the region of the electrode assembly was performed by threading one of the electrodes with stainless circular discs(80mm and 140mm in diameter) in various forms(attached or separated). Depending upon the experimentally operating conditions, different glow discharge voltages and their corresponding currents were recorded with an optimum current of 10A at B= 500G and P= 10-3 mbar. A discharge current of 11.7A was reached as the gas pressure was raised by an order of magnitude at B=10G at d=20cm with very slight changes in the discharge voltage. Experimental results were found to be sensitive to the geometry of the electrode assembly, P, and B. Elevation of cathode surface temperature was recorded and found effective in reducing the pumping down cycle over a process of glow discharge cleaning of the internal chamber surface.

Binary mixtures of three, heavy oil-stocks was subjected to density measurements at temperatures of 30, 35 and 40 °C. and precise data was acquired on the volumetric behavior of these systems. The results are reported in terms of equations for excess specific volumes of mixtures. The heavy oil-stocks used were of good varity, namely 40 stock, 60 stock, and 150 stock. The lightest one is 40 stock with °API gravity 33.69 while 60 stock is a middle type and 150 stock is a heavy one, with °API gravity 27.74 and 23.79 respectively. Drought is a complex phenomenon that has severe impacts on the environment. Vegetation and its conditions are very sensitive to drought effects. This study aimed to monitor and assess the drought severity and its relationships to some ecological variables in ten districts of Erbil Governorate (Kurdistan Region), Iraq, throughout 20 years (1998-2017). The results revealed that droughts frequently hit Erbil throughout the study period. The study was conducted from November 2021 to May 2022 at the three study sites within the Baghdad governorate. The study aims to identify the impact of human activities on the Tigris River, so an area free of human activities was chosen and represented the first site. A total of 48 types were diagnosed, 6204 ind/m3 spread over three sites. The present study considers an influence of WS2 nanoparticles lubricants on physical characteristics of wrought Aluminium alloys. It is investigated parameters-performance relationship via tribological pin-on-disc tests, the pin is made of Aluminium alloys and the disk is made of AISI.1045, and the humidity was 70%. Oils with WS2 nanoparticles and without them reveal the loss rate of wear.
