Depositional Environment and Diagenesis processes impact on the carbonate rock quality: a case study, southeastern of Iraq
...Show More Authors

Deposition environment and diagenesis processes are very important factors which affect and control the reservoir properties.  The carbonate Mishrif Formation has been selected as a carbonate reservoir in selected wells from southeastern Iraq to understand the influence of the Deposition environment and diagenesis processes on the carbonate reservoir. A core examination of thin sections, shows that Mishrif Formation comprises of six depositional environments, these are: deep marine, lagoon, rudist biostrome, back shoal, and shallow open marine.  These environments have effect by many diagenetic processes, including dolomitization, dissolution, micritization, cementation, recrystallization and Stylolite, some of these processes have improved the reservoir properties of the Mishrif reservoir, these are: dissolution, dolomitization and the stylolization.  The others diagenetic processes have negative influence on the Petrophysical properties, such as cementation, compaction, and recrystallization processes, which damage the porosity and decrease the pore size. The reservoir properties are controlled by deposition environment, where lagoon environment is mostly compact with low porosity, shoal environment reflects a high energy and grain-supported environment and has good reservoir potential, deep-marine environments consist of mudstone to wackestone, which represents low energy level with low porosity and represents the non-reservoir environment.

Antibacterial activity of Some mouthwash Solutions against Staphylococcus lentus Isolated from Mouth Infections
...Show More Authors

A total of nine swab samples were collected from inflamed teeth and gingiva of human’soral cavity from a dentist clinic in Baghdad. All specimens were cultured in Mitis Salivarius agar medium and the isolated bacterial pure colonies werethen identified by using VITEK2. Three samples were diagnosed and identified as Staphylococcus lentus. One of the three isolates which showed a distinctive heavy growth on the media was selected for further analysis in this study. Paper disk diffusion method was used to detect the antibacterial activityof three of mouthwash solutions (Zak, Colgate and Listerine). The results showed that “Colgate” was the most active solution with antibacterial activity compared with the other two soluti

Solution of Population Growth Rate Linear Differential Model via Two Parametric SEE Transformation
...Show More Authors

The integral transformations is a complicated function from a function space into a simple function in transformed space. Where the function being characterized easily and manipulated through integration in transformed function space. The two parametric form of SEE transformation and its basic characteristics have been demonstrated in this study. The transformed function of a few fundamental functions along with its time derivative rule is shown. It has been demonstrated how two parametric SEE transformations can be used to solve linear differential equations. This research provides a solution to population growth rate equation. One can contrast these outcomes with different Laplace type transformations

Advanced Oxidation of Antibiotics Polluted Water Using Titanium Dioxide in Solar Photocatalysis Reactor
...Show More Authors

The aim of this study was to investigate antibiotic amoxicillin removal from synthetic pharmaceutical wastewater. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) was used in photocatalysis treatment method under natural solar irradiation in a tubular reactor. The photocatalytic removal efficiency was evaluated by the reduction in amoxicillin concentration. The effects of antibiotics concentration, TiO2 dose, irradiation time and the effect of pH were studied. The optimum conditions were found to be irradiation time 5 hr, catalyst dosage 0.6 g/L, flow rate 1 L/min and pH 5. The photocatalytic treatment was able to destruct the amoxicillin in 5 hr and induced an amoxicillin reduction of about 10% with 141.8 kJ/L accumulate

Estimation of Apelin Levels in Iraqi Patients with Type II Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
...Show More Authors

Diabetes mellitus type 2 (T2DM) is a chronic and progressive condition, which affects people all around the world. The risk of complications increases with age if the disease is not managed properly. Diabetic neuropathy is caused by excessive blood glucose and lipid levels, resulting in nerve damage. Apelin is a peptide hormone that is found in different human organs, including the central nervous system and adipose tissue. The aim of this study is to estimate Apelin levels in diabetes type 2 and Diabetic peripheral Neuropathy (DPN) Iraqi patients and show the extent of peripheral nerve damage. The current study included 120 participants: 40 patients with Diabetes Mellitus, 40 patients with Diabetic peripheral Neuropathy, and 40 healthy

Antibacterial Activity of Silver nanoparticles Against Pathogenic Bacterial Isolates from Diabetic Foot Patients
...Show More Authors

Diabetic foot is a catastrophic complication of diabetes. This study included isolation and identification of three types of bacteria that cause diabetic foot ulcers,  fifty-five isolates of Staphylococcus aureus, thirty-five isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii, and thirty isolates of Serratia marcescens. These isolates were obtained from diabetic foot patients at different private clinics in and around Baghdad and Medical City Hospital. The proportion of male patients was greater than females, and it was noted that the age group (51-68 years) was more ages affected by diabetic foot. These isolates showed high resistance to most of the antibiotics used, Staphylococcus aureus was resistant to

Spherical Aromaticity of Tetrahedral Pnictogens Through <i>Off</i> ‐Nucleus Isotropic Magnetic Shielding
...Show More Authors

This work revealed the spherical aromaticity of some inorganic E4 cages and their protonated E4H+ ions (E=N, P, As, Sb, and Bi). For this purpose, we employed several evaluations like (0D-1D) nucleus independent chemical shift (NICS), multidimensional (2D-3D) off-nucleus isotropic shielding σiso(r), and natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis. The magnetic calculations involved gauge-including atomic orbitals (GIAO) with two density functionals B3LYP and WB97XD, and basis sets of Jorge-ATZP, 6-311+G(d,p), and Lanl2DZp. The Jorge-ATZP basis set showed the best consistency. Our findings disclosed non-classical aromatic characters in the above molecules, which decreased from N to Bi cages. Also, the results showed more aromaticity in E4 than E4H+

Implementation of K-Nearest Neighbors Algorithm for Predicting Heart Disease Using Python Flask
...Show More Authors

Heart disease is a non-communicable disease and the number 1 cause of death in Indonesia. According to WHO predictions, heart disease will cause 11 million deaths in 2020. Bad lifestyle and unhealthy consumption patterns of modern society are the causes of this disease experienced by many people. Lack of knowledge about heart conditions and the potential dangers cause heart disease attacks before any preventive measures are taken. This study aims to produce a system for Predicting Heart Disease, which benefits to prevent and reduce the number of deaths caused by heart disease. The use of technology in the health sector has been widely practiced in various places and one of the advanced technologies is machine lea
