This dissertation studies the application of equivalence theory developed by Mona Baker in translating Persian to Arabic. Among various translation methodologies, Mona Baker’s bottom-up equivalency approach is unique in several ways. Baker’s translation approach is a multistep process. It starts with studying the smallest linguistic unit, “the word”, and then evolves above the level of words leading to the translation of the entire text. Equivalence at the word level, i.e., word for word method, is the core point of Baker’s approach.

Phosphorus (P) is an element that is potatoes require in large amounts. Soil pH is a crucial factor impacting phosphorus availability in potato production. This study was conducted to evaluate the influence of P application rates on the P efficiency for tuber yield, specific gravity, and P uptake. Additionally, the relationship between soil pH and total potato tuber yield was determined. Six rates of P fertilization (0–280 kg P ha−1) were applied at twelve different sites across Northern Maine. Yield parameters were not responsive to P application rates. As result of exposure in low light-level are images with only a small number of
photons. Only the pixels in which arrive the photopulse have an intensity value
different from zero. This paper presents an easy and fast procedure for simulating
low light-level images by taking a standard well illuminated image as a reference.
The images so obtained are composed by a few illuminated pixels on a dark
background. When the number of illuminated pixels is less than 0.01% of the total
pixels number it is difficult to identify the original object.
