Developing the Complexity and Security of the Twofish Algorithm Through a New Key Scheduling Design
...Show More Authors

The Twofish cipher is a very powerful algorithm with a fairly complex structure that permeates most data parsing and switching and can be easily implemented. The keys of the Twofish algorithm are of variable length (128, 192, or 256 bits), and the key schedule is generated once and repeated in encrypting all message blocks, whatever their number, and this reduces the confidentiality of encryption. This article discusses the process of generating cipher keys for each block. This concept is new and unknown in all common block cipher algorithms. It is based on the permanent generation of sub keys for all blocks and the key generation process, each according to its work. The Geffe's Generator is used to generate subkeys to make each explicit block a new key that differs from block to block, gaining protection against attacks. Finally, this algorithm works almost like a One-Time Pad.

Developing Systems Engineering for Sustainable Infrastructure Projects
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Globally, Sustainability is very quickly becoming a fundamental requirement of the construction industry as it delivers its projects; whether buildings or infrastructures. Throughout more than two decades, many modeling schemes, evaluation tools, and rating systems have been introduced en route to realizing sustainable construction. Many of these, however, lack consensus on evaluation criteria, a robust scientific model that captures the logic behind their sustainability performance evaluation, and therefore experience discrepancies between rated results and actual performance. Moreover, very few of the evaluation tools available satisfactorily address infrastructure projects. The res</p> ... Show More

Histological and mechanical evaluation of the osseointegration of titanium implants by the modifications of thread design and/or coating with flaxseed (An experimental study on rabbits)
...Show More Authors

Background: Dental implant surface technologies have been evolving rapidly to enhance a more rapid bone formation on their surface and improve implant therapy.Implant threads should be designed to increase surface contact areathat induced better stability. In addition, implant surface coating with Flaxseed was used to enhance bone formation at the bone-implant interface. Materials and methods: Ninety-six commercially pure titanium (CpTi) screws were implanted in rabbits' tibiae and divided into three groups as dual-threaded group, flaxseed-coated group and control group. All groups were evaluated mechanically, histologically and radiographically after each healing periods (2, 4, 6 and 8) weeks and the resulting data were statistically analy

Secure Big Data Transmission based on Modified Reverse Encryption and Genetic Algorithm
...Show More Authors

The modern systems that have been based upon the hash function are more suitable compared to the conventional systems; however, the complicated algorithms for the generation of the invertible functions have a high level of time consumption. With the use of the GAs, the key strength is enhanced, which results in ultimately making the entire algorithm sufficient. Initially, the process of the key generation is performed by using the results of n-queen problem that is solved by the genetic algorithm, with the use of a random number generator and through the application of the GA operations. Ultimately, the encryption of the data is performed with the use of the Modified Reverse Encryption Algorithm (MREA). It was noticed that the

Kinetics of Struvite Crystals Formation through Adsorption and Crystallization Using Zeolite Modification
...Show More Authors

This study observed the formation of struvite crystals in wastewater using natural zeolite activated with Mg2+ ions. Mg2+ ions released from natural zeolite would react with PO43- and NH4+ ions from in wastewater to form struvite crystals. The results showed that at pH 8.5, the removal of PO43- and NH4+ ions was more effective using the modified zeolite than the natural zeolite. Adding 40 g/L Zeo-Mg (1) produced the best results, with PO43- (93.32%) and NH4 (40%) adsorption. Meanwhile, 40g/L Zeo-Mg (2) adsorbed 81% PO43- ions and 27.12% NH4+ ions. The eqil

Theoretical Analysis of Seepage through Homogeneous and Non-homogeneous Saturated-Unsaturated Soil
...Show More Authors

In this research, the program SEEP / W was used to compute the value of seepage through the homogenous and non-homogeneous earth dam with known dimensions. The results show that the relationship between the seepage and water height in upstream of the dam to its length for saturated soil was nonlinear when the dam is homogenous. For the non-homogeneous dam, the relationship was linear and the amount of seepage increase with the height of water in upstream to its length. Also the quantity of seepage was calculated using the method of (Fredlund and Xing, 1994) and (Van Genuchten, 1980) when the soil is saturated – unsaturated, the results referred to that the higher value of seepage when the soil is saturated and the lowe

Theoretical and Practical Investigation of Blood Flow through Stenosed Coronary Lad Artery
...Show More Authors

Atherosclerosis is the most common causes of vascular diseases and it is associated with a restriction in the lumen of blood vessels. So; the study of blood flow in arteries is very important to understand the relation between hemodynamic characteristics of blood flow and the occurrence of atherosclerosis.

looking for the physical factors and correlations that explain the phenomena of existence the atherosclerosis disease in the proximal site of LAD artery in some people rather than others is achieved in this study by analysis data from coronary angiography as well as estimating the blood velocity from coronary angiography scans without having a required data on velocity by using some mathematical equations and physical laws. A Digital-Based Optimal AVR Design of Synchronous Generator Exciter Using LQR Technique
...Show More Authors

In this paper a new structure for the AVR of the power system exciter is proposed and designed using digital-based LQR. With two weighting matrices R and Q,  this method produces an optimal regulator that is used to generate the feedback control law. These matrices are called state and control weighting matrices and are used to balance between the relative importance of the input and the states in the cost function that is being optimized. A sample power system composed of single machine connected to an infinite- bus bar (SMIB) with both a conventional and a proposed Digital AVR (DAVR) is simulated. Evaluation results show that the DAVR damps well the oscillations of the terminal voltage and presents a faster respo

Design of a Fractional Order Sliding Mode Controller for Twin Rotor Aerodynamic System
...Show More Authors

This paper proposes a new structure for a Fractional Order Sliding Mode Controller (FOSMC) to control a Twin Rotor Aerodynamic System (TRAS). The new structure is composed by defining two 3-dimensional sliding mode surfaces for the TRAS model and introducing fractional order derivative integral in the state variables as well as in the control action. The parameters of the controller are determined so as to minimize the Integral of Time multiplied by Absolute Error (ITAE) performance index. Through comparison, this controller outperforms its integer counterpart in many specifications, such as reducing the delay time, rise time, percentage overshoot, settling time, time to reach the sliding surface, and amplitude of chattering in control inpu

Enhanced RC5 Key Schedule Using One-Dimensional Cellular Automata for Audio File Encryption
...Show More Authors

Audio security is an important aspect in various areas of communication. This paper deals with audio encryption as many of the data communication depends on audio data.  In this paper, a new proposal of audio encryption system has been introduced. The system can be divided into two phases, the first phase focuses on generating a high-quality Pseudo Random Number generator (PRNGs) using elementary, periodic and hybrid rules of cellular automata (CA). The system suggests a new combination of CA rules in an endeavor to provide high randomness and to improve the strength of the proposed cryptosystem. Whereas the second phase produces the Enhanced Rivest Cipher 5 (ERC5) algorithm which employs the generated Random Number Sequence (RNS) i
