Effect of Some Materials on Productivity and Activity of -Hemolysin which Produced by Methicillin Ressistant Staphylococcus Aureus

In this study 77 human isolates of Staphylococcus aureus were obtain from different clinical sources. The results showed that the number of isolates producing α-hemolysin was 32 isolates (41.55%) , while non- hemolysin producing was 45 isolates (58.45%) .The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of methicillin which were 32 micrograms \ ml. The effect of CD-Cholesterol ,Cholesterol ,Cyclodextran(CD) ,Methicillin and Phosphate Buffer Saline(PBS) on α- hemolysin activity was study and the hemolytic Titer was:8 ، 32.768 ,65.536 ,
140.737.488.355.32 , 4.961408E + 25 respectively, while the effect of the same effect with Titer 67.108.864 and low Titer with PBS 3.96140812E + 25. The α – hemolysin toxin was partialy purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation. partial purified toxin was injected inside the cornea of rabbit's eye and the erosion of cornea formed with diameter: 8 mm after 8 hours of injection while the erosion of cornea which injected with CD-Cholesterol that mixed with partial purified toxin was 4 mm. CD-Cholesterol was used in treatment as a drops which added to the affected eye and led to a decrease in corneal erosion area from 8 mm to 4 mm.

Bit-Plane Slicing Autoregressive Modeling for Medical Image Compression

In this paper, a simple medical image compression technique is proposed, that based on utilizing the residual of autoregressive model (AR) along with bit-plane slicing (BPS) to exploit the spatial redundancy efficiently. The results showed that the compression performance of the proposed techniques is improved about twice on average compared to the traditional autoregressive, along with preserving the image quality due to considering the significant layers only of high image contribution effects.

A Review in Sustainable Plastic Waste in Concrete

Therefore studies have resorted to reusing recycled plastic waste (sustainable plastic) to produce environmentally friendly concrete (green concrete). In this research, some studies were reviewed and then summarized into several things, including the percentage of plastic replacement from the aggregate and the effect of this percentage on the fresh properties of concrete, such as the workability and the effect of plastic waste on the hardening properties of concrete such as dry density, compressive, tensile and flexural strength.

NORM in Markazia Degasing Station within North Rumaila Oilfield- Southern Iraq

Concentration of natural occurring radioactive material (NORM) in Markazia Degasing Station in North Rumaila oilfield (NDS) was measured in this study. Then, radiological assessment due to existing of NORM in different samples including soil, sludge, scale, oil, and water collected from different stages of oil and gas production NDS was done. Radioactivity concentration of Ra-226, Th-232 and K-40 were measured using gamma spectrometry system based on HPGe detector with efficiency of 30%. The results show that some locations within NDS are contaminated with NORM. A novel analytical model to calculate the proper dimensions of piezoelectric patches used to repair cracked beams is also introduced.
