In this study, we investigated the ability of nanoliposomes preparation, as a nanoadjuvant, to entrap soluble Leismania donovani antigens (SLAs) and release in vitro. The parasite reactivation was carried out when inoculated into Rosewell park memorial institute media (RPMI) and incubated at 23 °C for 4 days. L. donovani promastigote inoculum (104 cell / ml) of 4 days was used to inoculate modified medium of Saline - Neopeptone and Blood agar 9 (SNB 9) to produce promastigote mass. SLAs were extracted from the promastigotes ghost membrane after fourth passages of subculturing in SNB. The membrane pellet obtained was suspended in 5 mM Tris buffer (pH 7.6) and sonicated three times at 4 °C and entrapped in freshly prepared nanoliposomes. Lipids mixture of 4mM Phosphatidylcholine, 2.2 mM Cholesterol and 0.55 mM Phosphatidylethanolamine in a ratio of 7:2:1 were used to prepare nanoliposome. Physio-chemical characterizations of prepared nanoliposomes was performed by using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) , Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) and Zeta Potential assays to determine the size, morphology and charge. The efficiency of freshly prepared nanoliposoms to entrap SLAs was determined by measuring the nanoliposome efficiency entrapment (EE). The percentage of EE was 50 and 27.5 of SLAs entrapped nanoliposomes prepared by Sephadex G25 and Sephadex G75, respectively. Moreover, stability of SLAs entrapped nanoliposomes was examined at 4 and 37 °C as a storage temperature.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the activity of dry metallic copper and colloidal silver solution to reduce the viability of P.aeruginosa isolates compared with stainless steel as a control. Three clinical isolates of P.aeruginosa (108, 110 and 111 ) which were multi antibiotics resistant tested by inoculating 107 CFU/ml on to coupons( 1cm x 1cm) of copper and stainless steel and incubated at room temperature for various time periods ranging from 30minutes up to 180 minutes .Bacterial viability was determined by plate viable count CFU/ml. This work involves separating and studying the aminoacylase-1 (ACY1) of amniotic fluid from healthy pregnant, mainly one peak with higher activity has been isolated by DEAE-Cellulose ion exchange from the proteinous supernatant produced by deposition of proteins using ammonium sulfate (65%) after dialysis. The purification folds reaching to 19 folds also gave one protein peak when injected into the gel filtration column, a high ACY1 purity was obtained, with 38 folds of purification. Activated carbon derived from Ficus Binjamina agro-waste synthesized by pyro carbonic acid microwave method and treated with silicon oxide (SiO2) was used to enhance the adsorption capability of the malachite green (MG) dye. Three factors of concentration of dye, time of mixing, and the amount of activated carbon with four levels were used to investigate their effect on the MG removal efficiency. The results show that 0.4 g/L dosage, 80 mg/L dye concentration, and 40 min adsorption duration were found as an optimum conditions for 99.13% removal efficiency. The results also reveal that Freundlich isotherm and the pseudo-second-order kinetic models were the best models to describe the equilibrium adsorption data.

We distributed eleven landmarks on the wings of Sand Fly species. By using the centroid size and shape together, all species were clearly distinguished. It is clear from these results that the wing analysis is an essential method for future geometric morphometry studies to distinguish the species of Sand Flies in Iraq.
