Fabrication and Characterization of Hybrid MEH-PPV / TiO2 for Photodetector

In this work, the characterization and application of thin films composite incorporated titanium dioxide (TiO2) (0.8)% volume ratio for (Rutile) nanostructure with poly [2- methoxy-5-(2’-ethylhexoxy-p-phenylene vinylene] (MEH-PPV) were deposited by a spin-coating technique. The optical properties for deposited (MEH-PPV/TiO2) nanocomposite thin films have two peaks which are the Q-band in the visible region and B-band in ultraviolet. This study shows that the absorption spectrum of organic polymer mixing with TiO2 increased with increasing the volume ratios TiO2. The I-V characteristic of nanocomposite thin films shows that the current at dark and light condition varies approximately with applied voltage. We observed that the current increases with the mixed ratios of TiO2 and the operation voltage decrease. The MEH-PPV/TiO2 nanocomposite material has been worked as (UV-Vis.) light detector with high responsivity and high detectives in the Rutile  TiO2 at the mixed rate (0.8) mg/ml,  14.32 at 350nm and 16.73at 510nm.

Evaluation of Knowledge and Practices of Nurses in Orthopedic wards concerning femur Fractures

Objective: To evaluate the knowledge and practices of nursing staff at the orthopedic wards relative to
nursing care presented to patients with femur fractures.
MethodologyThe sample consisted of (50) staff nurses was selected out of orthopedic wards of five
teaching hospital in Baghdad city for duration 15th Nivember 2001-15th of January 2002.
For the purpose of data collection, two instruments were constructed. First, observational
checklist for the practices measurements and second, knowledge test for the evaluation of the nurse
knowledge. Such construction was employed through literature review and validity expert’s responses.
Data were analyzed through the application of descriptive data analysis (frequency, p

Effect of the Number of Gaussian Points and Their Distribution on Image Quality

This  research  involves  studying  the  influence  of  increasing  the

number of Gaussian points and the style of their distribution, on a circular exit pupil, on the numerical calculations accuracy of the point spread function for an ideal optical system and another system having focus error of (0.25 A. and 0.5 A. )

It was shown that the accuracy of the results depends on the type of

distributing points on the exit pupil. Also, the accuracy increases with the increase of the number of points (N) and the increase of aberrations which requires on increas (N).

Issues Among the provisions of the use of the mosque and its dependencies

God Almighty set out to build mosques, and he commanded to seek their architecture, and the competition for them, and allocate them with types of worship that are not valid in others, and to preserve their sanctity and not to be degraded and taken for mundane purposes and special benefits, because they are considered one of the most prominent features of Islam and the rituals of Islamic society, so this research came to show the rule Sharia in various and contemporary issues that are needed by the imams of the mosques, their rulers, and those responsible for them. Among the issues in which they have examined comparative juristic research and reached the most correct opinion are:
Building mosques over or under buildings and factories i

Frequency Dependence of AC Resistivity and Dielectric Behavior of Lithium-Manganese Soft Ferrites

Lithium–Manganese ferrites having the chemical formula (Li0.5-0.5x Mnx Fe2.5-0.5x O4), (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) were prepared by double sintering powder processing. The density of the ferrite increased with Mn content while the porosity was noticed to decrease. The dielectric constant was found to increase at high frequencies more rapidly than the low ones. The dielectric constant found to decrease with Mn content. The decrease in loss factor with frequency agreed with Deby’s type relaxation process. A maximum of dielectric loss factor was observed when the hopping frequency is equal to the external electric field frequency. Manganese substitution reduced the dielectric loss in ferrite. The variation of tanδ with frequency shows a similar na

Problematic of Non Performing Banking Loans in Iraq and the Methods of Treatment

The banking system considered as one of the most important intermediate circle between creditor and debtors it is mean the most important funding rings in economic activity, whether finance takes the a consumer or investment form and therefore it is the main base to stimulate economic activity both on the demand side, both consumption and investment and therefore of the main motivating factors for economic growth.

The banking system depends in achieve its goals on the grants and loan recovery, or what is known credit process and according to what the importance referred to the role of the banking system, it is important to ensure the safety and efficiency of the mechanisms of banking device and safety is

MORPHOLOGICAL AND HISTOCHEMICAL STUDY OF HARDERIAN GLAND OF DOMESTIC PIGEON (COLUMBA LIVIA DOMESTICA)

The aim of this work is to study the histological and histochemical structure of the Harderian gland in indigenous pigeons. Samples were obtained from 10 males and 10 females of adult healthy pigeons. Hematoxylin and eosin, Alcian blue (pH 2.5), periodic acid-Schiff and promo phenol blue, stains were used for paraffin section examination. The gland was teardrop like in shape, light brown to pink in color, capsulated with thin connective tissue. It was multilobular compound acinotubular in structure and lined by columnar epithelial cells. Lymphocyte, plasma cells and plasma cells with Russell bodies were present underneath the epithelia of central collecting duct and around the secretory unite. Histochemically; the

The Effect of Potassium Sorbate on Microorganism and Self life of Laboratory Biscuit

This study has been conducted to examin the effect of potassium sorbate at different level of 0.03,0.06,0.10% on the number of bacteria and mold and to extend the storage life of laboratory processed biscuit. The results indicated that the use of 0.03% potassium sorbate prolonged the storage peroid until the third month .three types of bacteria has been isolated from processed biscuit, namely, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Esherichia coli using 0.06% potassium sorbate showed no growth of bacteria up to six month of storage ,while using of 0.03% and 0.06% potassium sorbate prevent the growth of mold up to three and six months of storage respectively. Both Aspergillus and Penicillium were isolated from the processed biscuit.

The Effect of He:Ne Laser on Viability and Growth Rate of Leishmania Major

An isolate of Leishmania major was grown on the semisolid medium and incubated at 26ºC. The isolate was irradiated by He: Ne laser (632.8 nm, 10 mW) at exposure times (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30) minutes in their respective order. The unirradiated groups represent control group. Growth rate and percentage of viability were examined during six days after irradiation. The change in these two parameters reflects the effect of irradiation on the parasite. The results refers that the general growth effected by irradiation in comparison with un irradiation group, The growth rate of parasite decrease with increasing the exposure time in comparison with control group. Parasite viability decrease with irradiation and the percentage of living cell dec
