Nonlinear Optical Properties of Pure and Ag/Polyaniline Nanocomposite Thin Films Deposited by Plasma Jet
...Show More Authors

In present work, the nonlinear optical properties of pure polyaniline and Ag/polyaniline nanocomposite thin films, deposited by plasma jet on glass substrate, were studied through open and closed Z-scan technique using pulse second harmonic Nd:YAG laser of wavelength 532nm, pulse duration of 30 ns and input energy 30mJ. The nonlinear optical properties of pure polyaniline thin films and silver polyaniline nanocomposite thin films prepared at constant gas flow rate 1lm-1 and different silver weight concentration 4, 5, and 10% were studied. The closed aperture Z-scan data indicates that the sign of the refraction nonlinearity is negative for pure polyaniline thin films n2 =11×10-3 cm2/MW and positive nonlinearity for Ag/polyaniline nanocomposite thin films, n2=72×10-3, 66×10-3 and 96×10-3 cm2/MW for silver weight concentration 4, 5, and 10% respectively. The open Z-scan measurements show two photons absorption β=75×103 cm/MW for 4%wt silver concentration and show saturated absorption for pure polyaniline, 5 and 10%wt silver concentration. The transmission spectra obtained by UV-Visible absorption spectra exhibit interference fringes, for the samples with 4% and 5%wt silver concentration which is an indication of the good uniformity and homogeneity of the films.

Preparation and Characterization of In2O3-CuO Nanocomposite Thin Films as NH3 Gas Sensor
...Show More Authors

An NH3 gas sensor was prepared from nanocomposite films of indium oxide-copper oxide mixtures with ratios of 0 , 10 , and 20 Vol % of copper oxide. The films were deposited on a glass substrate using chemical spray pyrolysis method (CSP) at 400oC. The structural properties were studied by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy ( AFM). The structural results showed that the prepared thin films are polycrystalline, with nano grain size. By mixing copper oxide with indium oxide, the grain size of the prepared thin films was decreased and the surface roughness was increased. The UV-Visible spectrometer analysis showed that the prepared thin films have high transmittance.

Effect of Annealing Times on the Structural and Optical Properties of PbO Thin Films Prepared by D.C Sputtering
...Show More Authors

In this work, lead oxide (PbO) thin films were deposited using D.C. sputtering method on a surface of glass substrates and then thermally annealed at a temperature of 473K with annealing times of (1,2 and 3) hours. The structural, morphological, and optical properties of films were determined using X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), FT-IR, and UV-Visible spectroscopy. The structure studies confirmed that PbO films are polycrystalline structures in an orthorhombic phase with average grain size (24.51, 29.64, 46.49, 16) nm with increasing annealing time. From AFM, the roughness of the film surface  (3.26, 1.76, 1.61, 1.79) nm as the film annealing time increases. The optical band gap values of the PbO thin fi

Study structure and optical properties of Ag2Se, Ag2Se0. 8Te0. 2 and Ag2Se0. 8S0. 2 thin films
...Show More Authors

Silver sulfide and the thin films Ag2Se0.8Te0.2 and Ag2Se0.8S0.2 created by the thermal evaporation process on glass with a thickness of 350 nm were examined for their structural and optical properties. These films were made at a temperature of 300 K. According to the X-ray diffraction investigation, the films are polycrystalline and have an initial orthorhombic phase. Using X-ray diffraction research, the crystallization orientations of Ag2Se and Ag2Se0.8Te0.2 & Ag2Se0.8S0.2 (23.304, 49.91) were discovered (XRD). As (Ag2Se and Ag2Se0.8Te0.2 & Ag2Se0.8S0.2) absorption coefficient fell from (470-774) nm, the optical band gap increased (2.15 & 2 & 2.25eV). For instance, the characteristics of thin films made of Ag2Se0.8Te0.2 and Ag2Se0.8S0.2

Impact of Aluminum Oxide Content on the Structural and Optical Properties of ZnO: AlO Thin Films
...Show More Authors

AlO-doped ZnO nanocrystalline thin films from with nano crystallite size in the range (19-15 nm) were fabricated by pulsed laser deposition technique. The reduction of crystallite size by increasing of doping ratio shift the bandgap to IR region the optical band gap decreases in a consistent manner, from 3.21to 2.1 eV by increasing AlO doping ratio from 0 to 7wt% but then returns to grow up to 3.21 eV by a further increase the doping ratio. The bandgap increment obtained for 9% AlO dopant concentration can be clarified in terms of the Burstein–Moss effect whereas the aluminum donor atom increased the carrier's concentration which in turn shifts the Fermi level and widened the bandgap (blue-shift). The engineering of the bandgap by low

Influence of Nd and Ce doping on the structural, optical and electrical properties of V2O5 thin films
...Show More Authors

Nano-structural of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) thin films were
deposited by chemical spray pyrolysis technique (CSPT). Nd and Ce
doped vanadium oxide films were prepared, adding Neodymium
chloride (NdCl3) and ceric sulfate (Ce(SO4)2) of 3% in separate
solution. These precursor solutions were used to deposit un-doped
V2O5 and doped with Nd and Ce films on the p-type Si (111) and
glass substrate at 250°C. The structural, optical and electrical
properties were investigated. The X-ray diffraction study revealed a
polycrystalline nature of the orthorhombic structure with the
preferred orientation of (010) with nano-grains. Atomic force

Structural and optical properties of Fe- doped ZnO thin films prepared by Sol–Gel spin coating process and their photocatalytic activities
...Show More Authors

Pure and Fe-doped zinc oxide nanocrystalline films were prepared
via a sol–gel method using -
C for 2 h.
The thin films were prepared and characterized by X-ray diffraction
(XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), field emission scanning
electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and UV- visible spectroscopy. The
XRD results showed that ZnO has hexagonal wurtzite structure and
the Fe ions were well incorporated into the ZnO structure. As the Fe
level increased from 2 wt% to 8 wt%, the crystallite size reduced in
comparison with the pure ZnO. The transmittance spectra were then
recorded at wavelengths ranging from 300 nm to 1000 nm. The
optical band gap energy of spin-coated films also decreased as Fe
doping concentra
