Photocatalytic Decolorization of Crystal Violate Dye Solution by ZnO/MWCNT Nanocomposite
...Show More Authors

By extracting crystal violate dye (CV) from its aqueous solution, the photocatalytic decolorization performance of ZnO/MWCNT nanocomposite was evaluated. The nanocomposite was prepared by precipitation of ZnO and incorporates on the surface of Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT). ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized using the sol gel process with MWCNT acting as a template. They were then analyzed by XRD, SEM, and TEM, which revealed how the shape of the spherical nano ZnO interacts with the point of zero charge (pzc), which allows us to see the physical attributes. In the dipping photoreactor, which included a slurry of dye solution and ZnO/MWCNT nanocomposite, the effectiveness of decolorization was assessed. The photodecolorization was studied for CV dye in aqueous solution at different conditions: The effect of time, weight of catalyst, concentration of dye, temperature, the initial pH of dye solution and addition of S2O82- to show the optimum condition of this process. The main results were the synthesis of incorporated ZnO on MWCNT surface with 10-20 nm with high photodecolorization against CV dye. Full decolorization reached at 90 min and 89.8% decolorization at the half time of reaction. ZnO/MWCNT weight of 0.06 gm per 100 mL was optimum for photodecolorization. The photocatalytic reaction was more efficient in the deceasing of CV concentration and obeys the Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetic, while the photodecolorization was not less than 95% in pH range 6-10.Also, the photocatalytic reaction was effected in the presence of S2O82-, where the photodecolorization was more efficient.

Numerical Study of Solid Core Photonic Crystal Fibres with Endlessly Single Mode
...Show More Authors

In this work, a solid core photonic crystal fibre (SC-PCF) has been designed with endlessly single mode of which both centerd core and holes in the cladding are organized by circles. The designed SC-PCF has a single solid centerd core which is ringed by a six rings hexagonal cladding. The computation of  SC-PCF is  achieved by using the finite element method (FEM) with perfectly matched layer (PML) boundary condition. All the designed factors like dimensions and distance of both core and cladding areas have varied with an optimized structure. After ending the numerical calculation, the results shows that there are a link between the air hols in the cladding ,  and the different normaliz

Increasing the conversion efficiency of KTP crystal using the pump-power technique
...Show More Authors

In this study, the effect of pumping power on the conversion efficiency of nonlinear crystal (KTP) was investigated using laser pump-power technique. The results showed that the higher the pumping power values, the greater the conversion efficiency (η) and, as the crystal thickness increases within limitations, the energy conversion efficiency increases at delay time of (0.333 ns) and at room temperature. Efficiency of 80% at length of KTP crystal (L = 1.75 X 10-3 m) and Pin = 28MW, and also, compare the experimental results with numerical results by using MATLAB program.

Crystal structure of (<i>E</i>)-4-benzylidene-6-phenyl-1,2,3,4,7,8,9,10-octahydrophenanthridine
...Show More Authors

The preparation of the title compound, C26H25N, was achieved by the condensation of an ethanolic mixture of benzaldehyde, cyclohexanone and ammonium acetate in a 2:1:1 molar ratio. There are two crystallographically independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The two cyclohexyl rings adopt ananti-envelope conformation with the benzyl moiety adopting acisconformation with respect to the nitrogen atom of the phenanthridine segment. In the crystal, molecules are linked through C—H...N interactions into hydrogen-bonded chains that are further arranged into distinct layers by weak offset π–π interactions.

Performance of Strelitzia reginae Flowers Dye as Sensitizer for New Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell Fabrication
...Show More Authors

In current study, the dye from flowers petals of Strelitzia reginae used for the first time to prepare natural photosensitizer for DSSC fabrication. Among five different solvents used to extract the natural dye from S. reginae flowers, the ethanol extract of anthocyanin dye revealed higher absorption spectrum of 0.757a.u. at wavelength of 454nm.  A major effect of temperature was studied to increase the extraction yield. The results show that the optimal temperature was 70 °C and there was a sharp decrease of dye concentration from 0.827 at temperature of 70 °C to 0.521 at temperature of 90°C. The extract solution of flowers of S. reginae showed higher co

Determining of Efficiency For The N749 Dye contact with TiO2 In Dye Sensitized Solar Cell
...Show More Authors

In this research, we investigate and evaluate the efficiency of a hetero junction N749-  device based on a simple donor-acceptor model for electron transfer. Electron transfer from a photo-excited N749 sensitized into a wide-band gap  is the basic charge separation in dye-sensitized solar cells, or "DSSCs". Due to the understanding of the current of the DSSCs functioning mechanism, the energy levels of the hetero junction N749-  device surrounded by DCM solvent as polar media must be continuum levels. The current-voltage (J-V) characteristics of the N749- device are calculated in two concentrations at room temperature (T=300 k) and 100   irradiation. The fill factor and efficiency of the device are found to be 0.134 and 6.990 for con

Study of Efficacy Adsorption of Methyl Green by Attapulgite and Modified Attapulgite Clay from Aqueous Solution
...Show More Authors

This paper includes the modification of the attapulgite  by precipitation of iron and aluminum compounds . Attapulgite (Atta) and modified attapulgite (Atta-m) clays are characterized by many  techniques ( FTIR , XRD ,SEM  with EDX ) .The  attapulgite clay before and after modification were used as the adsorbents for adsorption of methyl green (MG) . The results Indicate ,that the percentage of removal (MG) at equilibrium by using (Atta) and (Atta-m) clay were reached to  94% and 97% respectively. Indicating that the clay modification process was in addition to a relative improvement in the adsorption potential of the clay after modification.

Removal of <scp>E133</scp> brilliant blue dye from artificial wastewater by electrocoagulation using cans waste as electrodes
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Solid‐waste management, particularly of aluminum (Al), is a challenge that is being confronted around the world. Therefore, it is valuable to explore methods that can minimize the exploitation of natural assets, such as recycling. In this study, using hazardous Al waste as the main electrodes in the electrocoagulation (EC) process for dye removal from wastewater was discussed. The EC process is considered to be one of the most efficient, promising, and cost‐effective ways of handling various toxic effluents. The effect of current density (10, 20, and 30 mA/cm2), electrolyte concentration (1 and 2 g/L), and initial concentration of Brilliant Blue dye (15 and 30 mg/L) on </p> ... Show More

Synthesis, Structure And Characterization Of Zns Qds And Using It In Photocatalytic Reaction

ZnS nanoparticles were prepared by a simple microwave irradiation method under mild condition. The starting materials for the synthesis of ZnS quantum dots were zinc acetate (R & M Chemical) as zinc source, thioacetamide as a sulfur source and ethylene glycol as a solvent. All chemicals were analytical grade products and used without further purification. The quantum dots of ZnS with cubic structure were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), the morphology of the film is seen by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The particle size is determined by field effect scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy and XRD. UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy analysis shows that the absorption peak of the as-prep
