Nanometal oxides were extracted from cement factories wastes and were employed to proliferate skin cancer cells using MTT (Methyl Thiazolyl Tetraolium) assay. MTT assay results for skin cancer cell line A375,for CaO NPs the best concentration was 200 μg/mL,The viability was reduced to 57.28% while the IC50 was (69.66) g/mL for A375 and normal cell WRL68 was significantly higher (231.2 g/mL). The cytotoxicity results of CaO: MgO: Fe2O3 NPs, at higher concentrations (200 and 400) μg/mL showed a significant difference. The IC50 was (106.4) μg/mL for A375and normal cell WRL68 was significantly higher (173.3) μg/ml CaO:MgO:Fe2O3 NPs. The nanometal oxides, calcium oxide (CaO) and the mixture (CaO:MgO: Fe2O3) were extracted from wastes of cement factory, and then they were oxidized at a temperature of 400C° for (5) hours. The structural and surface properties of the prepared oxides were characterized by X-ray diffraction patterns,FE-SEM and FTIR. The X-ray data reflected that all the oxides have a polycrystalline cubic structure, with a preferred orientation along (111) for calcium oxide, with a preferred orientation along (002) for calcium oxide: magnesium oxide: iron oxide.
This paper focuses firstly on the production of monomers bis (2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET) and oligomers by using two different form of MgO light active and Nano Magnesium oxide with different weight ratio (0.15, 0.25 and 0.5) by using chemical recycling glass condenser at 190 ˚C. The second purpose is to study the effect of catalyst ratio, time of reaction and yield of products of the product. Elemental analysis for Carbon –Hydrogen and Nitrogen (CHN), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) have been investigated. Results indicated the catalytic activity was found to correlate with surface area; however, LA MgO has shown an exceptional activity, still it is h
... Show MoreIt is well- known that the distinguished scholastic journal is a crucial cornerstone, which contributes to the scientific integrity of a particular academic institution. The establishment of the Al-Kindy College of Medicine (AKCM), University of Baghdad, in 1998 urged the need to issue Al-Kindy College Medical Journal (KCMJ).
Background
Medical child abuse describes a child receiving unnecessary, harmful, or potentially harmful medical care at the caretaker's instigation.
Objectives
To focus on medical child abuse as an entity and emphasize its epidemiology, clinical presentations, prevention, and management.
Results
In the UK, the annual incidence of medical child abuse in children below one year increased to 3:100,000, while its prevalence in Arabs, including Iraq, is ambiguous due to lack of evidence and improper clinician's awareness. The mean age at diagnosis is 14 months to 2.7 years. Female caregivers are the most common offenders. Clinically, medical child abuse

Watermark embedding process is carried out by transforming the medical image into wavelet domain and then adaptive thresholding is computed to determine the suitable locations to hide the watermark in the image coefficients. The watermark data is embedded in the coefficients that are less sensitive into the human visual system in order to achieve the fidelity of medical image. Experimental results show that the degradation by embedding the watermark is too small to be visualized. Also, the proposed adaptive watermarking technique can preserv

The reasons for interest in SnSe due to the magnificent optoelectronic properties with other encouraging properties. The most applications that in this area are PV devices and batteries. In this study tin selenide structure, optical properties and surface morphology were investigated and studies. Thin-film of SnSe were deposit on p-Si substrates to establish a junction as solar cells. Different annealing temperatures (as prepared, 125,200, 275) °C effects on SnSe thin films were investigated. The structure properties of SnSe was studied through X-ray diffraction, and the results appears the increasing of the peaks

... Show MoreFusion can be described as the process of integrating information resulting from the collection of two or more images from different sources to form a single integrated image. This image will be more productive, informative, descriptive and qualitative as compared to original input images or individual images. Fusion technology in medical images is useful for the purpose of diagnosing disease and robot surgery for physicians. This paper describes different techniques for the fusion of medical images and their quality studies based on quantitative statistical analysis by studying the statistical characteristics of the image targets in the region of the edges and studying the differences between the classes in the image and the calculation

The study was planned to show the effect of different medicinal plants extracts on Cryptosporidium spp.
Materials and Methods:
The experimental study was performed in laboratory mice to show the efficacy of different medical plants extracts (Achillea fragrantissima, Artemisea herba-alba,
Cardaria draba, Mentha longifolia , Olea europea, Prosopis farcta, Punica granatum, Teucrium polium and Ziziphus spina-charisti on shedding of Cryptosporidium spp. oocysts.
Results:
In a study on the effect of medical plant extracts on the shedding of oocysts in mice, it was found that different medical plants extracts decrease the shedding of
Cryptosporidium oocysts in mice. Using 250 mg / kg B.W
