An Improved Outlier Detection Model for Detecting Intrinsic Plagiarism

In the task of detecting intrinsic plagiarism, the cases where reference corpus is absent are to be dealt with. This task is entirely based on inconsistencies within a given document. Detection of internal plagiarism has been considered as a classification problem. It can be estimated through taking into consideration self-based information from a given document.

The core contribution of the work proposed in this paper is associated with the document representation. Wherein, the document, also, the disjoint segments generated from it, have been represented as weight vectors demonstrating their main content. Where, for each element in these vectors, its average weight has been considered instead of its frequency.

The proposed work has been evaluated in terms of Precision, Recall, F-measure, Granularity, and Plagdet. It is shown that the attained results are comparable to the ones attained by the best state-of-the-art methods. Where, through applying the proposed method to PAN-PC-09 and PAN-PC-11 for the detection of intrinsic plagiarism, a Recall scores of 0.4503 and 0.4303 have been recorded, even though further improvement for Precision (0.3308 and 0.2806) and Granularity (1.1765 and 1.1111) needs to be made. Concerning f-measure, the proposed approach has recorded 0.3814 and 0.3397. In terms of the total performance of a plagiarism detection approach, Plagdet, the proposed method has recorded 0.3399 and 0.3151.

The Simulation of Old Human Remains Detecting Utilizing Ground Penetrating Radar Image Processing

Many Iraqi provinces had collective cemeteries, especially in the middle and southern regions of Iraq, but many of those cemetery locations are undefined yet. Ground penetration radar has two features that make it optimal from a geophysical perspective for shallowly detecting sensitive materials near the surface. First, the instantaneous image is formed upon scanning, called a radargram. Second, the non-destructive inference of the scanned materials. For these two reasons, this technique was chosen to conduct a simulation process to reveal the old human remains in Iraq's central and southern areas using another model with the same physical feature (old burial) at the AL-Khamisiya site, Thi-Qar province.

The demanded stage

Flat Model for Representing Contiguous UTM Coordinates over Iraq Territory

The process of converting coordinates is, still, considered an important and difficult issue due to the way of conversion from geographic ellipsoidal system to the projected flat system. The most common method uses contiguous UTM system as one of the most accurate systems in the conversion process, but the users of the
system face problems related to contiguity, especially at the large areas that lie within more than one zone. The aim of the present research is to solve the problem related to the multiple zones coverage found in the Iraqi territory using a mathematical model based on the use of Taylor series. The most accurate conversion equation used in this paper was based on the 4th order polynomial of two variables. The calculatio

Simplified Flat Coordinate Model for Northern Parts of Arabian Gulf

The method of coordinate conversion is still considered important and laborious due to the shift from the spatial ellipsoidal (geographic) to the flat planned system. The most common method uses a contiguous UTM system as one of the most reliable systems in the conversion process; however, this system faces a problem in large areas that contain more than one zone. The goal of this research is to create a simple and low computational cost model to represent a non-contiguous semi-UTM geographic coordinates for confined regions of the globe. The considered region taken in this study is the northern parts of Arabian Gulf (including parts of Iraq, Kuwait, Iran, and Saudi Arabia). The determined mathematical mode

Techniques and Challenges for Generation and Detection Face Morphing Attacks: A Survey

Face recognition system is the most widely used application in the field of security and especially in border control. This system may be exposed to direct or indirect attacks through the use of face morphing attacks (FMAs). Face morphing attacks is the process of producing a passport photo resulting from a mixture of two images, one of which is for an ordinary person and the other is a judicially required. In this case, a face recognition system may allow travel of  persons not permitted to travel through face morphing image in a Machine-Readable Electronic Travel Document (eMRTD) or electronic passport at Automatic Border Control (ABC) gates. In creating an electronic passport, most countries rely on applicant to submit ima

The local stability of an eco-epidemiological model involving a harvesting on predator population

In this paper a prey - predator model with harvesting on predator species with infectious disease in prey population only has been proposed and analyzed. Further, in this model, Holling type-IV functional response for the predation of susceptible prey and Lotka-Volterra functional response for the predation of infected prey as well as linear incidence rate for describing the transition of disease are used. Our aim is to study the effect of harvesting and disease on the dynamics of this model.

Peristaltic Transport of a Viscoelastic Fluid with Fractional Maxwell Model in an Inclined Channel

This paper is devoted to the study of the peristaltic transport of viscoelastic non-Newtonian fluids with fractional Maxwell model in an inclined channel. Approximate analytical solutions have been constructed using Adomain decomposition method under the assumption of long wave boundary layer type approximation and low Reynolds number. The effect of each of relaxation time, fractional parameters, Reynolds number, Froude number, inclination of channel and amplitude on the pressure difference, friction force and stream function along one wavelength are received and analyzed.

A Word Cloud Model based on Hate Speech in an Online Social Media Environment

Social media is known as detectors platform that are used to measure the activities of the users in the real world. However, the huge and unfiltered feed of messages posted on social media trigger social warnings, particularly when these messages contain hate speech towards specific individual or community. The negative effect of these messages on individuals or the society at large is of great concern to governments and non-governmental organizations. Word clouds provide a simple and efficient means of visually transferring the most common words from text documents. This research aims to develop a word cloud model based on hateful words on online social media environment such as Google News. Several steps are involved including data acq

PHYSICAL MODEL OF KEROSENE PLUME MIGRATION IN AN UNSATURATED ZONE OF THE SANDY SOIL

Physical model tests were simulated non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) spill in two-dimensional
domain above the water table. Four laboratory experiments were carried out in the sand-filled
tank. The evolution of the plume was observed through the transparent side of this tank and the
contaminant front was traced at appropriate intervals. The materials used in these experiments
were Al-Najaf sand as a porous medium and kerosene as contaminant.
The results of the experiments showed that after kerosene spreading comes to a halt (ceased) in
the homogeneous sand, the bulk of this contaminant is contained within a pancake-shaped lens
situated on top of the capillary fringe.

An Analysis of a Partial Temporary Immunity SIR Epidemic Model with Nonlinear Treatment Rate

A partial temporary immunity SIR epidemic model involv nonlinear treatment rate is proposed and studied. The basic reproduction number  is determined. The local and global stability of all equilibria of the model are analyzed. The conditions for occurrence of local bifurcation in the proposed epidemic model are established. Finally, numerical simulation is used to confirm our obtained analytical results and specify the control set of parameters that affect the dynamics of the model.
