Characteristics of Lead and Sulfur Plasma Parameters by Optical Emission Spectroscopy
...Show More Authors

This study uses the optical emission spectroscopy (OES) technique to find the lead(Pb) and sulfur (S) plasma parameters employing a pulse of Nd: YAG laser (Q-switched 1064nm wavelength) and different laser energies of (400,500,600 and 700 mJ). The electron temperature Te (eV) is calculated using the Boltzmann-Plot method, and the electron density ne (cm-3)is determined by the Stark broadened way. Moreover, Debye length λD (cm) and plasma frequency ωp (Hz) are studied as a function of laser energy. An apparent increase was noted in the electron temperature of lead plasma and a decrease in sulfur plasma. The results also showed that each increase in the laser intensity causes an increase in the optical emission peaks. This experiment was carried out under atmospheric pressure.

A Theoretical Study for Designing Optical Multilayer Films Using NdF3/ ThF4
...Show More Authors

An idea of a colored glaze is presented in this study to hide and dispose all the obstacles of using solar systems as facades integrated with buildings. This aim is achieved  by designing multilayer optical interference filters by using Mat lab program . Appropriate dielectric materials, namely NdF3 of high refractive index (nH =1.6)  and ThF4 of low refractive index (nL =1.5143) were employed. Quarter wave thicknesses of high (H) and low (L) refractive index were deposited on a microscopic slide substrate with n=1.513 and 550 nm design wavelength (l°). Two optical models were designed, which are Air//HL//glass and Air//LH//glass,  for even numbers of layers (2-32 lay

ULTRAHIGH SENSITIVE REFRACTIVE INDEX SENSOR BASED ON TAPERED MULTICORE OPTICAL FIBER
...Show More Authors

The refractive index sensors based on tapered optical fiber are attractive for many industries due to sensing capability in a variety of application. In this paper, we proposed a refractive index sensor based on multicore fiber (MCF) sandwiched between two standard single mode fibers (SMF). The sensor consisting of three sections, SMF- MCF-SMF is structurally simple and can be easily produced by joining these parts. The MFC contains seven cores and these cores are surrounded by a single cladding. The sensing region is obtained by tapering the MCF section where the evanescent field is generated. The single mode propagating along the SMF is stimulated at the first joint and is coupled to the cladding modes. These modes interfere with the core

The Synbiotic Effect Of Volaticle Oil Extracted From Leaves Rosmarinus Officinolis And Nigellai Sativa On Microbial And Sensory Characteristics Of Minced Poultry Meat During Cold Storage
...Show More Authors

The objective of present study was to investigate the effect of using duplex volaticle oil of Rosmarinusoficinolis and Nigella sativain microbial quality, sensing and extending storage time of minced cold poultry meat. Duplex volaticle oil was added at 25, 50 and 75 mg/kg to minced poultry meat , these treatments were stored individually for (0 ,4 and 7) days at( 4-7) C0 . After making several microbial and sensing test. The following results were obtained:- The process of adding duplex volaticle oil of Rosmarinus officinolis and Nigella sativa to minced poultry meat led to significant reduced (P<0.01) in total arobic count, psychrophilic count and coliform bacteria during refrigerated storage periods. The results showed asignificant sens

The effect of the relationship of leptin hormone and live body weight on some chemical characteristics of the blood serum of local laying hens
...Show More Authors

The study was conducted out at the Ministry of Agriculture's Poultry Research Station/Animal ResourcesDepartment/Agricultural Research Center. To see how body weight (BW) and leptin hormone (LEP) levels inbreeder blood affect fertility and hatchability. 140 Iraqi local laying chickens (120 females + 20 males) aged 28weeks were used in the study. Following the numbering of The experiment was divided into three periods, each lasting 28 days, during which the breeder's live body weight was recorded and divided into two categories(greater than 1.5 kg and less than 1.5 kg), and blood samples were collected at the end of each period todetermine the concentration of leptin hormone in the breeders' blood. For comparison between mothers'performance,

Applying a suitable approximate-simulation technique of an epidemic model with random parameters
...Show More Authors

Because the Coronavirus epidemic spread in Iraq, the COVID-19 epidemic of people quarantined due to infection is our application in this work. The numerical simulation methods used in this research are more suitable than other analytical and numerical methods because they solve random systems. Since the Covid-19 epidemic system has random variables coefficients, these methods are used. Suitable numerical simulation methods have been applied to solve the COVID-19 epidemic model in Iraq. The analytical results of the Variation iteration method (VIM) are executed to compare the results. One numerical method which is the Finite difference method (FD) has been used to solve the Coronavirus model and for comparison purposes. The numerical simulat

Bayesian Estimation for Two Parameters of Gamma Distribution under Generalized Weighted Loss Function
...Show More Authors

This paper deals with, Bayesian estimation of the parameters of Gamma distribution under Generalized Weighted loss function, based on Gamma and Exponential priors for the shape and scale parameters, respectively. Moment, Maximum likelihood estimators and Lindley’s approximation have been used effectively in Bayesian estimation. Based on Monte Carlo simulation method, those estimators are compared in terms of the mean squared errors (MSE’s).

Evaluation of Parameters Affecting Lifting Capacity in Directional Wells for Garraf Oil Field
...Show More Authors

The cutting transport problem in the drilling operation is very complex because many parameters impact the process, which is nonlinearity interconnected. It is an important factor affecting time, cost and quality of the deviated and horizontal well. The main objective is to evaluate the influence of main drilling Parameters, rheological properties and cuttings that characterise lifting capacity through calculating the minimum flow rate required and cutting bed height and investigate these factors and how they influenced stuck pipe problems in deviated wells for Garraf oil field. The results obtained from simulations using Well Plan™ Software were showed that increasing viscosity depends on other conditions for an increase or dec

Determination of Optimum Mechanical Drilling Parameters for an Iraqi Field with Regression Model
...Show More Authors

An optimization analysis of drilling process constitutes a powerful tool for operating under desired pressure levels and simultaneously maximizing the penetration rate, which reduces costs and time thus increases the profit.
In this study, a composite drilling model (Young-Bourgyen model) of eight functions was used to determine the optimum drilling mechanical parameters (Weight on bit and rotary speed) for an Iraqi oil field. These functions model the effect of most drilling parameters such as formation strength, mud density, formation compaction, weight on bit, rotary speed, tooth dullness, and bit hydraulic on drilling rate. Data are extracted from bit record and drilling report of well BUZ-20 for calculation of eight exponents of
