A New Mannich base [N-(4-morpholinomethyl)-1,8-naphthalimide] (L), was synthesized and characterized by C.H.N analysis, FTIR, UV-Vis and 1HNMR spectral analysis. Metal ion complexes of (L) with Pt(IV), Rh(III), Ru(III) and Pd(II) ions were prepared and characterized by FT-IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy, elemental analysis (C.H.N), flame atomic absorption techniques as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. The results showed that metal ion complexes for all complexes were found in [1:2] [M:L] ratio except for Pd(II) complex which was found in [1:1] [M:L] ratio. Hyperchem-8 program has been used to predict structural geometries of the (L) and it's complexes in gas phase. The electrostatic potential (EP) of the (L) was calculated. Furthermore, the heat of formation ( ), binding energy ( ), vibration spectra, electronic spectra and bond length for the ligand (L) and its metal ion complexes were calculated by PM3 methods. The antimicrobial activity of (L) and its complexes has been extensively studied against pathogenic bacteria such as (Pseudonomous aerugionosa) as gram negative and (Bacillus Subtilis) as gram positive and fungi (Candida albicans) and (Aspergillus flavus) by agar-well diffusion technique.
A series of 1,3-diarylprop-2-en-1-one oximes (7-12) were synthesized via reaction of 1,3-diarylprop-2-en-1-one (1-6) with NH2OH. HCl in dry pyridine. In order to produce the required products (13-18) as anti-isomers, these products (7–12) were then treated with acetic anhydride in dry pyridine. Different substitutes are maintained, resulting in the separation of different products in different yields The recently produced esters are thought to be useful as building blocks for the synthesis of substituted pyridines and many other nitrogen-holding complexes, which are elaborate structures in medicinal chemistry and present in a variety of pharmaceutical medications. The synthesized products were characteriz

This study investigated the stability and extraction efficiency of ELM for the removal of Chlorpyrifos Pesticide (CP) from wastewater. The stability was studied in terms of emulsion breakage. The proposed ELM included n-hexane as a diluent, span-80 as a surfactant, and hydrochloric acid (HCl) as a stripping agent. Parameters such as mixing speed, aqueous feed solution pH, internal-to-organic membrane volume ratio, and external-to-emulsion volume ratio were investigated. A minimum emulsion breakage of 0.66% coupled with a maximum chlorpyrifos extraction and stripping efficiency were achieved at 96.1% and 95.7% at b

Show MoreThe research involves preparing gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and studying the factors that influence the shape, sizes and distribution ratio of the prepared particles according to Turkevich method. These factors include (reaction temperature, initial heating, concentration of gold ions, concentration and quantity of added citrate, reaction time and order of reactant addition). Gold nanoparticles prepared were characterized by the following measurements: UV-Visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The average size of gold nanoparticles was formed in the range (20 -35) nm. The amount of added citrate was changed and studied. In addition, the concentration of added gold ions was changed and the calibration cur

The effect of variables such as collector oil dosage, pine oil dosage and solid content of the feed slurry have been investigated on the flotation characteristics of low rank coal. Attempts have also been made to develop some empirical Eq. to predict the yield and ash content of concentrate with the operating variables, solids concentration, collector oil dosage, and pine oil dosage, to estimate the recovery at any operating conditions. The calculated results obtained from regression equation by correlating the variables with the yield and ash content of concentrate have been compared to study whether calculated values match closely with th

prevention pulmonary infections caused by P. aeruginosa in vivo. This was
achieved by Evaluation of biofilm formation by the microtiter plate method to
select P.aeruginosa isolate with highest biofilm formation capacity, Extraction
and the partial purification of type IV pili from the selected isolate, then
Preparation of type IV pili antibodies by rabbit immunization. The lung
histological sections of non immunized mice were severly damaged ,while the
damage were markedly decrease in the lung of immunized mice with anti-type 4
pili antibody.
Background: Restoration of the gingival margin of Class II cavities with composite resin continues to be problematic, especially where no enamel exists for bonding to the gingival margin. The aim of study is to evaluate the marginal leakage at enamel and cementum margin of class II MOD cavities using amalgam restoration and modern composite restorations Filtek™ P90, Filtek™ Z250 XT (Nano Hybrid Universal Restorative) and SDR bulk fill with different restoratives techniques. Materials and method: Eighty sound maxillary first premolar teeth were collected and divided into two main groups, enamel group and cementum group (40 teeth) for each group. The enamel group was prepared with standardized Class II MOD cavity with gingival margin (1 m

Accordingly, octahedral complexes having general formulaes [Cu2(ABTSH2)2(BA)2Cl2]Cl2 and [M2(ABTSH2)2(BA)2(SO4)2] {M= Cu(II) or (Fe(II)} have been proposed. The resulted complexes screened for antifungal activity in vitro against the citrus pathogen Aspergillus niger and Fusarium sp. which caused root rot of sugar and the beans pathogen Alternaria sp. All the complex
