Petrophysical Properties and Reservoir Modeling of Mishrif Formation at Amara Oil Field, Southeast Iraq

Petrophysical properties of Mishrif Formation at Amara oil field is determined
from interpretation of open log data of (Am-1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7 ,8 ,9 ,10 ,11 ,12
and13) wells. These properties include the total, the effected and the secondary
porosity, as well as the moveable and the residual oil saturation in the invaded and
uninvaded zones. According to petrophysical properties it is possible to divided
Mishrif Formation which has thickness of a proximately 400 m, into seven main
reservoir units (MA, MB11, MB12, MB13, MB21, MC1, MC2) . MA is divided into
four secondary reservoir units , MB11 is divided into five secondary reservoir units ,
MB12 is divided into two secondary reservoir units , MB13 is divided into two
secondary reservoir units and MB21 is divided into five secondary reservoir units.
The seve units are separated by seven cap rocks (Bar1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7).A threedimensional
reservoir model is created by using (Petrel, 2014) software for all
reservoir unit. The results show that the first and the second reservoir units represent
important reservoir units of Mishrif Formation. Variables of thickness and reservoir
properties are consider of Amara oil field.

Therefore, the aims of this study was to determine the antibacterial and antibiofilm effect of Rosmarinus officinelis L. essential oil (EO) and its effect on the genes encoding of fimbrial adhesions. The antimicrobial activity was investigated by MIC. The ability to form biofilm as well as inhibition of initial cell attachment and biofilm formation was performed. Paleoredox and Environmental Conditions of Southern Neo-Tethys Deposits in South Iraq (Yamama Formation) by Geochemical Indicators

A geochemical and environmental study was carried out for the sediments of the Southern Neo-Tethys Ocean, represented by the Yamama Formation (Berriasian-Valaganian) in southern Iraq. The formation has a particular reservoir importance. The typical WQ-220 and WQ-280 wells were selected from the West Qurna field. Data of Gamma-ray logs were used for 30 depths of the typical well. Ten core samples were analyzed by X-Ray Fluoresces and total organic matter from both wells. Calcareous Nannofossil Biostratigraphy and Ostracoda Paleoecology of Hartha Formation from Balad (1) well, Central Iraq

Seventeen samples of Hartha Formation in Balad (1) well, central Iraq, are studied on the basis of stratigraphic ranges of the recorded calcareous nannofossils for twenty species belonging to twelve genera. The studied section reveals three biozones arranged from oldest to youngest as follows; (1) Calculites ovalis Interval Biozone (CC19), (2) Ceratolithoides aculeus Interval  Biozone (CC20), (3) Quadrum  sissinghii Interval Biozone (CC21). Petrography and geochemistry of Pila Spi Formation (Middle- Late Eocene) in Selected Sections / Northern Iraq

The Pila Spi Formation (middle – late Eocene) was studied in terms of field character, Petrography and geochemistry from two outcrops (Bakhar and Bani bawy) sections, Northern Iraq. The field studies showing massive, lithified limestone to marly limestone high effected by dolomitization. The petrography studies shows that most of the skeletal grains was destroyed due to digenetic processes specifically the dolomitization, and the vast majority of carbonate rocks are mudstone and few beds of wackestone.
