Micro wind turbines are generally used in remote locations, and it is difficult and expensive to repair faults which forced the need for condition monitoring and fault diagnosis which has not been used extensively for small turbines. The possibility of utilizing Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for diagnosis the faults of broken rotor bar in squirrel cage induction motor of a micro wind turbine was investigated. Monitoring and analysis the current spectrum can be effective for diagnosis the early stage of faults and avoid complete catastrophic failure in the motor by powerful virtual instruments and LabVIEW software as an integral part of this instrumentation. Combination advanced signal processing technique with computerized signal processing and high accuracy data acquisition offer a new approach for monitoring spectral analysis of rotor bar fault in an induction motor. The theoretical rule of this method was proved by laboratory experiment.
The effect of gamma radiation at the doses (0 , 5 , 10 or 15 ) Gray on the callus of four Triticum aestivum immature embryos genotypes (AL-Hashmiya , AL-Noor AL-Zahraa and AL-Mellad ) were studied . The fresh and dry weight for callus and shoot tips beside numbers and lengths of the shoots were used as indicators after 8 weeks . Results revealed that (AL-Noor and AL-Zahraa ) was superior by giving highest fresh and dry weight reached 274.2 and 269.2 mg and 26 and 24.3 mg respectively as compared with AL-Hashmiya and AL-Mellad. Visceral Leishmaniasis (VL) is a disseminated protozoan infection caused by Leishmania donovani parasites which affects almost half a million persons annually. Classical diagnosis methods of VL still not very sensitive and time consuming. In this study, we reported the success of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method to identify L. donovani based on kinetoplast deoxyribonucleic acid (kDNA) for the diagnosis of the parasite using in vitro promastigote cultures. LdI species - specific primer was used to identify L. donovani and the result showed a single band of about ~600bp. It can be recommended that this primer is to be used for detection the visceral L. donovani.
