Improving the Accuracy of Prayer Times and Calculating Their Change with Geographical Latitudes during the Year 2021 AD

The entry time of the prayer in Islam is a prerequisite condition for performing obligatory prayers, and prayer times to be performed in Islam coincides with the time changes of the position of the sun. The elliptical and equatorial coordinates of the sun were calculated for different latitudes. The prayer times for the city of Baghdad were calculated at (latitude = 33.34º N, longitude = 44.43 E) with high accuracy for the year 2021 AD. The results showed that all prayer times are affected by latitude according to each region except (Dhuhr prayer (, it changes with the change of the equation of time, because the equation of time does not depend on latitude, but rather on the sun’s declination, which depends on date. We also made improvements to the accuracy of calculating prayer times, where the disappearance of evening twilight (Isha prayer) was calculated when the sun was below the western horizon at an angle of (170 ) and for )Fajr prayer( at an angle of (180) below the eastern horizon. Minutes were added to enable entering the time for )Dhuhr prayer( (5 minutes) and )Asr prayer( (3 minutes).

The results show that the shadow of the meridian varies every day of the year from one point to another on the surface of the globe, so it is non-existent if the sun is perpendicular to the earth at the time of the meridian, and it has a specific length if the latitude of the place exceeds the value (23.50) the Tropic of Cancer or the Tropic of Capricorn), and its length increases as we move towards higher latitudes.

In addition, the results of our program were compared with the program of the Islamic project for all prayer times for the cities of Baghdad and Mosul for one year, and it showed a good match for the results, with a difference in some times and days of no more than one minute due to the modifications we added to calculate the effect of altitude above sea level. Practical observation was also conducted to check the times of the Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib prayers for several days during the year 2021 AD, and the results were identical with our theoretical results.

Bioremediation of Soil Contaminated with Diesel using Biopile system

This study was focused on biotreatment of soil which polluted by petroleum compounds (Diesel) which caused serious environmental problems. One of the most effective and promising ways to treat diesel-contaminated soil is bioremediation. It is a choice that offers the potential to destroy harmful pollutants using biological activity. The capability of mixed bacterial culture was examined to remediate the diesel-contaminated soil in bio piling system. For fast ex-situ treatment of diesel-contaminated soils, the bio pile system was selected. Two pilot scale bio piles (25 kg soil each) were constructed containing soils contaminated with approximately 2140 mg/kg total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs). The amended soil: (contaminated soil with the a

Detection of Serum Ferritin in Women with Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in females. In Iraq there are noticeable elevation in incidence rates and prevalence of advanced stages of breast cancer. Ferritin is intracellular iron storage protein abundant in circulation and its main application in differential diagnosis of anemia.

The level of serum ferritin was found raised in various cancers including breast cancer. The aim of this study was to assess whether the serum ferritin concentration would be altered in Iraqi women with breast cancer and it could be related to progression of disease.

Sixty eight females participated in this study. The mean age of these females was 53.25± 9.52 .The level of serum ferritin was measured in 24

Energy Analysis of Solar Collector With perforated Absorber Plate

The thermal performance of three solar collectors with 3, 6 mm and without perforation absorber plate was assessed experimentally. The experimental tests were implemented in Baghdad during the January and February 2017. Five values of airflow rates range between 0.01 – 0.1 m3/s were used through the test with a constant airflow rate during the test day. The variation of the following parameters air temperature difference, useful energy, absorber plate temperature, and collector efficiency was recorded every 15 minutes. The experimental data reports that the increases  the number of absorber plate perforations with a small diameter is more efficient rather than increasing the hole diameter of the absorber plate with decr

Study on Solvent Extraction of Mercury Complex With DB18C6

Mercury(II) ion is extracted as ion pair with thiocyanate using DCM .The effects of different parameters affecting the ease of extraction are determined . These parameters are  pH ,Thiocyanate ion concentration ,type and concentration of the counter cation concentration of the reagent , temperature and type of solvents .Other crown ethers (15C5 DB24C , DCH18C6 and  18C6 and cryptand- 222 are investigated as extracting reagents  using slop analysis method UV-visible and IR spectrometry .CHN analysis and melting points determination  are perfored for comlex analysis .All these investigations indicated the formula [k+CE]2[Hg (SCN )4]-2.

Coordination Behavior of N2o Donor Ligand with Some Metalsions

Tridentate Schiff base ligand L2 and its complexes with nickel(II), cobalt (II), copper (II), manganese (II) and mercury (II) ions have been synthesized by the condensation of 4Aminoantipyrine, Benzoin, then the ligand (L1) and 3-amino benzoic acid. The ligand and its complexes were described by 1H-&13C-NMR, UV-visible, FT-IR, (only ligand), molar conductance elemental, analysis and magnetic susceptibility, calculations. It has been set that the ligand acts as (N, N, O) neutral tridentate forming chelates with stoichimetry (metal: ligand) (1:1). all metal complexes is suggested Octahedral configuration. Most of the prepared compounds show antibacterial activity to (Staphylococcus aureus),(Escherichia coli), (Bacillussubtilis) and (Ps
