Noise Reduction, Enhancement and Classification for Sonar Images
...Show More Authors

Ultrasound imaging has some problems with image properties output. These affects the specialist decision. Ultrasound noise type is the speckle noise which has a grainy pattern depending on the signal. There are two parts of this study. The first part is the enhancing of images with adaptive Weiner, Lee, Gamma and Frost filters with 3x3, 5x5, and 7x7 sliding windows. The evaluated process was achieved using signal to noise ratio (SNR), peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), mean square error (MSE), and maximum difference (MD) criteria. The second part consists of simulating noise in a standard image (Lina image) by adding different percentage of speckle noise from 0.01 to 0.06. The supervised classification based minimum distance method is used to evaluate the results depending on selecting four blocks located at different places on the image. Speckle noise was added with different percentage from 0.01 to 0.06 to calculate the coherent noise within the image. The coherent noise was concluded from the slope of the standard deviation with the mean for each noise. The results showed that the additive noise increased with the slide window size, while multiplicative noise did not change with the sliding window nor with increasing noise ratio. Wiener filter has the best results in enhancing the noise.

Ion Pair-dispersive Liquid–Liquid Microextraction Combined with Spectrophotometry for Carbamazepine Determination in Pharmaceutical Formulations and Biological Samples
...Show More Authors

A simple, economical and selective method employing ion pair dispersive liquid−liquid microextraction (DLLME) coupled with spectrophotometric determination of carbamazepine (CBZ) in pharmaceutical preparations and biological samples was developed. The method is based on reduction of Mo(VI) to Mo(V) using a combination of ammonium thiocyanate and ascorbic acid in acidic medium to form a red binary Mo(V) thiocyanate complex. After addition of CBZ to the complex, extraction of the formed CBZ−Mo(V)−(SCN)6 was performed using a mixture of methylene chloride and methanol. Then, the measurement of target complex was performed at the wavelength of 470 nm. The important extraction parameters affecting the efficiency of DLLME were studied and o

Reevaluation Body Weight and Age with Standardized Uptake Value in the Liver Cancer for [18F] FDG PET/CT
...Show More Authors

Standardized uptake values, often known as SUVs, are frequently utilized in the process of measuring 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake in malignancies . In this work, we investigated the relationships between a wide range of parameters and the standardized uptake values (SUV) found in the liver.  Examinations with 18F-FDG PET/CT were performed on a total of 59 patients who were suffering from liver cancer. We determined the SUV in the liver of patients who had a normal BMI (between 18.5 and 24.9) and a high BMI (above 30) obese. After adjusting each SUV based on the results of the body mass index (BMI) and body surface area (BSA) calculations, which were determined for each patient based on their height and weight. Under a variety of dif

An Optimum Design of Cam Mechanisms with Roller Follower for Combined Effect of Impact and High Contact Loads
...Show More Authors

The problem in the design of a cam is the analyzing of the mechanisms and dynamic forces that effect on the family of parametric polynomials for describing the motion curve. In present method, two ways have been taken for optimization of the cam size, first the high dynamic loading (such that impact and elastic stress waves propagation) from marine machine tool which translate by the roller follower to the cam surface and varies with time causes large contact loads and second it must include the factors of kinematics features including the acceleration, velocity, boundary condition and the unsymmetrical curvature of the cam profile for the motion curve.

Three Locally Clays as A Surfaces for Adsorption of Cephalexin Monohydrate From Aqueous Solution: Thermodynamic and Desorption Equilibrium
...Show More Authors

The  adsorption of cephalexin.H2O from aqueous solution on attapulgite, bentonite and kaolin has been studied at the human body temperature (37.5ËšC) and at 5, 27, 47ËšC in 0.1M hydrochloric acid (pH 1.2). The value of pH 1.2 has been chosen to simulate the pH of stomach fluid. The clays show the following order: Bentonite > attapulgite > kaolin, for their activity to adsorb cephalexin.H2O. The charged clay particles can attract molecules either by electrostatic forces, for the molecules of oppositely charged, or by inducing dipole formation in the neutral molecule. The L-shaped adsorption isotherm indicated that drug molecules arrangement in a flat geometry on the clay surface. The

The Relations Of Design And The Role Of It Making The Idea For Fashion Design: فرات جمال العتابي
...Show More Authors

Any design subject to a set of forces contributing to the establishment of relations working to strengthen the internal elements of the design; any imbalance in these elements can make a fragmented and weak design, thus preventing it from achieving the goal or performance. Poor performance can be attributed to various factors: the extent and function of the elements and principles in the design, realization of the idea, especially in fashion design.
Moreover, there are many aspects of a design that go into achieving the realization of the designer’s idea. The design utilizes a lot of stimulants by drawing attention to its design, which is consistent with the need for psychological and material individuals. In this research, we will

Two Techniques (Spectrophotometric and Turbidimetric) for Determination of Ciprofloxacin HCl in Pharmaceutical Drugs with Comparison between the Techniques
...Show More Authors

A new, effective, simple and inexpensive method was developed for determination the amounts of Ciprofloxacin HCl in solutions and in tablets by spectrophotometry and turbidity using sodium tungstate as reagent. Also, in this paper comparison between two techniques was conducted. The reaction between the Ciprofloxacin HCl and reagent in acidic media formed a yellowish white complex. Chemical and physical conditions have been investigated. The Linear range for spectroscopic and turbidimetric techniques were (0.05-1.25) and (0.05-3.0) mmol.L-1 with correlation coefficients (0.9956) and (0.9941) respectively. The limits of detection were 7×10-5 and 5×10-5 mol.L-1. The proposed method is good alternative for determination of Ciprofloxacin H
