Cloud-based Voice Home automation System Based on Internet of Things

The rapid development of automation industries and technologies has shown incredible prospects for transforming our homes into a smart home automation system, which are more secure than a simple home. This paper proposes a home application based on voice and text called the Automated Control and Monitoring System (ASCM). This application can be utilized by both normal and vision-impaired people by using with a mobile phone.

The application allows users to send voice commands through Google Assistant installed on Android to control the appliances. They can also have complete monitoring by logging onto the ThingSpeak dashboard, which displays a device status indicator and sends alert messages in the event of danger. The NodeMCU development board based on the ESP8266 and a combination of sensors, modules and actuators were used to create a "control system" for home appliances based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This work mitigates the challenges that faced the design of smart homes based on (IoT).  The control and monitoring system is using voice without the need to use programming languages. As well as the automation process is not only on / off but also querying the status of any device sensors. In addition, this application dispenses with IFTTT(If-This-Then-that) services to send alert messages because their number is limited during the month, compared to the alerts provided by the Blynk app, which is unlimited. Mobile phones and robotic homes will make life easier and more enjoyable for the elderly and differently abled people who are unable to manually turn the items ON/OFF.

Curing of mice skin infections using ethanol flower extract of chamomile

This experiment was conducted in order to estimate azulene and apigenin in chamomile flowers. Ethanol extracts were examined singly or in combination with some drugs in their biological activity against some pathogens causing skin infection. Ethanol extract was applied at a concentration of 40 mg/ml for the treatment of induced skin infection of mice. Among the topicals used, Claforan was found the most effective on microorganisms causing skin diseases; ethanol extract was more effective than the drug Candimazole solution 1%. HPLC was used for the determination of azulene and apigenin active compounds of chamomile plant.

Calculation of the Time Interval of Radio Storm Emitted from Jupiter

A program in Visual Basic language was designed to calculate the time interval of radio storm by predict their type at specific Local Time (LT) from Baghdad location, such storms result from the Central Meridian Longitude (CML) of system ΙΙΙ for Jupiter and phase of Io’s satellite (ФIo). These storms are related to position of Io (Io- A,B,C,D). The input parameters for this program were the observer’s location (longitude), year, month and day. The output program results in form of tables provide the observer information about the date and the LT of beginning and end of each type of emitted storm. The year 2011 was taken to apply the results within twelve month; the results of the time interval of radio storm were between (0.08h-5

Properties of Kumaraswamy binary Distribution and compare methods of estimating parameters

The recent development in statistics has made statistical distributions the focus of researchers in the process of compensating for some distribution parameters with fixed values and obtaining a new distribution, in this study, the distribution of Kumaraswamy was studied from the constant distributions of the two parameters. The characteristics of the distribution were discussed through the presentation of the probability density function (p.d.f), the cumulative distribution function (c.d.f.), the ratio of r, the reliability function and the hazard function. The parameters of the Kumaraswamy distribution were estimated using MLE, ME, LSEE by using the simulation method for different sampling sizes and using preli

PREDICTORS OF HYPOXEMIA IN BRONCHIOLITIS IN A SAMPLE OF IRAQI INFANTS

Background: Bronchiolitis is the first episode of wheezing associated with low grade fever, rhinitis, tachypnea, and increasing respiratory effort in a previously healthy
infant during the winter months, and it is the most common lower respiratory tract infection in infancy.
Objectives: This study is designed to analyze the clinical signs and symptoms alone or as combinations as possible predictors of severe hypoxemia in infants with
bronchiolitis.
Patients and methods: This is a prospective study, which was carried out on 96 infants with a mean age of 7.74 ±3.72 months who were admitted to Children Welfare Teaching Hospital in Medical City-Baghdad with bronchiolitis during the period from 1st O

Effect of Manganese Chloride in Histological Testes of Male Albino Mice

The present study was conducted to determine the effect of Manganese on Histopathological changes in testes. Manganese Chloride was given to white mice with oral containing 150_200 and 250 mg/kg for periods of 15_30 and 45 days. The present study recorded the existence of histopathological symptoms in the testes, such as degeneration and necrosis in the tubules, congestion inside blood vessels and Edema in the interstitial tissue, as well as the appearance of giant cells inside the seminiferous tubules.

Multicomponent Biosorption of Heavy Metals Using Fluidized Bed of Algal Biomass

This paper aims to study the biosorption for removal of lead, cadmium, copper and arsenic ions using algae as a biosorbent. A series of experiments were carried out to obtain the breakthrough data in a fluidized bed reactor. The minimum fluidization velocities of beds were found to be 2.27 and 3.64 mm/s for mish sizes of 0.4-0.6 and 0.6-1 mm diameters, respectively. An ideal plug flow model has been adopted to characterize the fluidized bed reactor. This model has been solved numerically using MATLAB version 6.5. The results showed a well fitting with the experimental data. Different operating conditions were varied: static bed height, superficial velocity and particle diameter. The breakthrough curves were plotted for each metal. Pb2+ s
