In this work, measurements of activity concentration of naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) isotopes and their related hazard indices for several materials such as crude oil, sludge and water in Ahdeb oil fields in Waste governorate using high pure germanium coaxial detection technique. In this paper, the proposed phase fitted and amplification fitted of the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method were derived on the basis of existing method of 4(5) order to solve ordinary differential equations with oscillatory solutions. The recent method has null phase-lag and zero dissipation properties. The phase-lag or dispersion error is the angle between the real solution and the approximate solution. While the dissipation is the distance of the numerical solution from the basic periodic solution. Many of problems are tested over a long interval, and the numerical results have shown that the present method is more precise than the 4(5) Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method.

In this study, remote sensing technology is used to monitor and track thermal variations within the city center of Baghdad through Landsat satellite images and for the period from 2000 to 2015. The Upper Campanian-Maastrichtian succession in Buzurgan oil field of Southeastern Iraq consists of Hartha and Shiranish formations. Three facies associations were distinguished in the studied succession. These include shallow open marine environment within the inner ramp, deep outer ramp and basinal environments. The Hartha Formation in the study area was deposited on a shallow carbonate platform with distally steepened ramp setting. The studied succession represents two 3rd order cycles.
