A food chain model in which the top predator growing logistically has been proposed and studied. Two types of Holling’s functional responses type IV and type II have been used in the first trophic level and second trophic level respectively, in addition to Leslie-Gower in the third level. The properties of the solution are discussed. Since the boundary dynamics are affecting the dynamical behavior of the whole dynamical system, the linearization technique is used to study the stability of the subsystem of the proposed model. The persistence conditions of the obtained subsystem of the food chain are established. Finally, the model is simulated numerically to understand the global dynamics of the food chain under study.
The study included the collection of 75 bronchial wash samples from patients suspected to have lung cancer. These samples were subjected to a diagnostic cytological study to detect the dominant type of lung cancer. It was noticed that 33 patients proved to have a lung cancer out of 75 (44%) of these, 19 cases (57.6%)were diagnosed having Squamus cell carcinoma,7cases (21.21%) showed Adenocarcinoma ,6 cases (18.18%) were having small cell carcinoma while only one case (3.03%)was large cell carcinoma .Nearly 70% of cases were correlated with smokers .Bacteria were isolated from 53 patients in which 33 isolates were associated with the cancer cases while 20 of them from non infected patients. A new algorithm with the aid of Matlab language is derived to treat numerically three types (retarded, neutral and mixed) of nth order linear DIDE's-CT using B-spline functions and Weddle rule for calculating the required integrals for these equations. Comparison between approximated and exact results has been given in test examples with suitable graphing for every example for solving three types of linear DIDE's-CT of different orders for conciliated the accuracy of the results of the proposed method.
