Chemical Differentiation and Antimicrobial Potential of Four Brassica napus L Seed Oils

The conducted study compares the phytochemical and the antimicrobial potential of four varieties of Brassica napus seed oils. The plant seeds were cultivated during the winter growing season. Soxhlet extractor and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) were used for essential oil analysis. The micro broth dilution
assay was applied to test the antimicrobial potential (MIC: Minimum inhibitory concentration, MBC: Minimum bactericidal concentration) of the extracted essential oils against different bacterial strains. A total of 56 phytochemicals were found, including 23 and 25 compounds in the oils of Pactol and Rapifera seed varieties,
respectively, and 21 compounds in each of Bacara and Rally seed oils. Oleic acid constituted about 35.79 %, 15.62%, 7%, and 2.41 % for Rally, Bacara, Rapifera, and Pactol seed oils, respectively. Gram-positive bacteria, Streptococcus pyogenes and Streptococcus agalactiae, showed lower resistance potentials (MIC= 0.78%, 3.125%
respectively) (MBC=1.36%, 6.25% respectively) to the essential oils compared with Staphylococcus aureus. Escherichia coli showed higher sensitivity (6.25% and 12.5% for MIC and MBC, respectively) than Klebsiella pneumonia and Pseudomonas aeruginosa to the B. napus seed oils. Gram-positive bacteria were
more sensitive to the tested essential oils than Gram-negative bacteria. Overall, four different seed varieties have important chemicals and fatty acids. Oleic acid was the most common carboxylic acid (fatty acid) and 2,4-decadienal with hexanal were the most prevalent aldehydes in four seed oils. Tested B. napus seed essential oils
showed antimicrobial activities against various Gram-positive and negative bacteria and Candida albicans, with Pactol seed oils exerting the highest activity.

Extraction ،Purification and Characterization Of Peroxidase From cabbage (Brassica oleracea Var)

spectrophotometric method. The enzyme was extracted from the cabbage leaves
with 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution pH 7. 0 . POD activity was determined using
(O-dianisidine) as a substrate. The effects of the amounts of enzyme extract,
substrate concentration, pH and temperature were investigated. The highest activity
of POD was recored at 2 mg/ml. The highest activity of POD was optimized with
16 mM O-dianisidine, The optimum pH was 7.0 for POD , The optimum

Synthesis and Characterization with Antimicrobial Studies of mixed Curcumin Schiff Base–L-dopa with Divalent Cations Complexes

In the present article, mixed ligand metal (II) complexes have been synthesized with Schiff base (1E, 5Z, 6E)-1,7 bis (4-hydroxy-3- methoxyphenyl)-5-(3-hydroxyphenyl) imino) hepta-1,6-dien-3-one derived from Curcumin and 3-aminophenol as primary ligand and L-dopa as a secondary ligand. The Schiff base act as bidentate and arrange to the metals through the azomethine (C=N) nitrogen and (C=O) oxygen atom. The mode of bonding of the Schiff base has been affirmed on the infrared by the UV-Visible, 1H, and 13C NMR spectroscopic techniques. Effect of Saline water and Potash Fertilizer on some chemical constituents in Pisum sativum L.(Var.Senador Cambados) plant.

The objective was to study adding increasing levels of urea fertilizer which is (0.0, 0.20, 0.40, 0.80) gm/Pot and superphosphate fertilizer which is (0.0, 0.24, 0.48) gm/pot in some chemical properties of grain for wheat IPA 95. This experiment was carried out by completely randomized design (CR D) with three replications. Results in dictated of clear increase in all the studied characteristics (concentration for each nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and carbohydrate percentage with increasing levels of fertilizers).
