A Prototype of Obstacle Avoidance for Autonomous Vehicle

     Obstacle avoidance is one of the major tasks needed to be carefully focused by the autonomous system designers. In this digital era, most industries are moving towards autonomous systems. Obstacle avoidance is considered as a primary concern for any autonomous system. In this paper, a prototype of an autonomous vehicle is presented, which is capable of obstacle avoidance using an ultrasonic sensor for its movement and avoidance. An Arduino microcontroller is used to achieve the desired operation. In order to achieve the desired task of the proposed system, a proper methodology is followed which combines appropriate selection of hardware components as well as logic design of actions for obstacle avoidance. The proposed system can easily detect an obstacle, and move accordingly towards the safe path, by first detecting and then verifying the safe path. This can be very useful if implemented in real life.  It can ultimately reduce the chances of accidents of trains and road vehicles which will save lots of lives.  It can also detect broken roads and train tracks, which may result in reducing the chances of accidents to some extent. The accuracy of the autonomous vehicle depends on the output received by the ultrasonic sensor; therefore, it is not affected by the lighting environment. The prototype has been tested in various experimental settings and achieves appropriate results.

Structural Interpretations for Zubair Formation in Kumait oil field, Using 3D Seismic Reflection Data, Southern-East Iraq

     This study deals with the interpretation of structural 3D seismic reflection of the Kumait oil field in southern Iraq within the administrative boundaries of the Maysan Governorate. Synthetic seismograms are prepared by using available data of the Kt-1 oil field by using Petrel software to define and pick the reflector on the seismic section of the Zubair Formation, Which represents the Cretaceous Age. The study shows that the Kumait structure is an anticline fold. Electron Density Estimation by Electrostatic Probe for Plasma Generated Near the Spacecraft Returning to the Earth's Atmosphere

     In this work, the electrostatic probe was utilized to estimate the density of electrons for plasma generated around reentry vehicles that have a geometrically blunt nose at high-altitude. The thermocouple uses to measured electron temperature, which is equal to the temperature of the gas, on board the MAC spacecraft. In the spacecraft backflow field, electrostatic probe measurements were taken at five separate regions 1 to 5 cm from the body of the spacecraft. Emulsion Liquid Membrane for Pesticides Removal from Aqueous Solution: Emulsion Stability, Extraction Efficiency and Mass Transfer Studies

The current study investigated the stability and the extraction efficiency of emulsion liquid membrane (ELM) for Abamectin pesticide removal from aqueous solution. The stability was investigated in terms of droplet emulsion size distribution and emulsion breakage percent. The proposed ELM included a mixture of corn oil and kerosene (1:1) as a diluent, Span 80 (sorbitan monooleate) as a surfactant and hydrochloric acid (HCl) as a stripping agent without utilizing a carrier agent.
