Effect Of Nd:YAG Laser On Ants (Camponotus consobrinus)

     The subject of biophysics is interdisciplinary and covers various fields of biology and physics. In this research the effect of some parameters of Nd:YAG laser on ants (Camponotus consobrinus) has been studied    . This includes the effect on its external shape, as well as the percentage of the killing rate obtained. A laser radiation  of  a wavelength (1.064 µm) with different  energies: (300, 320, 340, 360, 380 and 480 mJ) was used to irradiate ants  placed at a distance  of (10 cm) distance  from the laser source . The irradiation times were (15 and 20 sec) for each energy. The obtained results showed an increase in the rate of ant  mortality, as well as an increase in deformations, as the laser energy and the irradiation time increased. These results were recorded after different time periods (12, 24, 48 and 72 hours) after laser treatment.. The thermal diffusion within the tissues resulting from laser radiation causes increased death rates due to damage of internal structures.

Effect of Different Environmental and Nutritional Factors on Biosurfactant Production from Candida guilliermondii

Yeast strain S9, which produced a high amount of biosurfactant, was isolated from pickledolive and identified as a strain of Candida guilliermondii using VITTEK 2 compact system, this strain was selected out of 13bioemulsifier producing strains. The effects of some environmental and nutritional factors on biosurfactant production were evaluated, the maximum value of E24% was observed at pH 4 which was 70% and the optimal temperature for biosurfactant production was 30 °C, E24% was 75%. The Study of Wear Effect on the Unsaturated Resin Reinforced By Rice Husk

This study was performed by using the unsaturated polyester resin as matrix to the
composite materials with the rice husk as reinforced materials . The research included study
of wear test on the composite material The results show that the, wear is increased with the
increase of applied load and distance slipping and also with time increase . moreover the
shows that the higher value wear rate( 1.91gm/cm) from the load (20) N and the higher value
wear rate (1.43gm/cm) from the higher distance (4cm) and from the higher time (6min) higher
wear rate (5.33gm/cm).

Effect of Yogurt and Bifidobacterium on Cryptosporidium parvum Infection In Experiential Infected Mice

        This study aimed to collected 150 feces sample from calves suffering sever diarrhea ,then there were isolation and purification of Cryptosporidium parvum oocyst from samples contain it. These oocysts were used to induce experimental infection in the Immunosupperessed mice, then the mice treated by Bifidium bacteria , its supernatant and local yogurt were used for bacterial isolation.
