This is a contribution to study the situation of a dwelling of previous case of kala- azar in the endemic area (AL-Mahmodiya/ AL-Rasheed district) about 25 km south of Baghdad.  In order to assess the possible ecological causes of the incidence and the prevalence of visceral leishmaniasis, in one of the well-known foci of the disease in the central region of Iraq. It was found that the human dwelling position and ecological factors affect the infection with this disease.

This study deals with interpretation of stratigraphic and structural of Afaq structure area central Iraq in Qadisiyah province, about 25 km north of Diwaniyah, by using 2D seismic data. The bile salt hydrolase gene (bshA), encoding bile salt hydrolase enzyme (EC 3.5.1.24) from probiotic isolate Lactobacillus acidophilus Ar strain which is responsible for assimilation cholesterol were studied in the present work. About 801 bp in length DNA fragment of Lb. acidophilus Ar strain was amplified by PCR techniques. Two restriction sites (PstI/SacI) were added to each end of that fragment for manipulation of DNA during cloning.       The seismic method depends on the nature of the reflected waves from the interfaces between layers, which in turn depends on the density and velocity of the layer, and this is called acoustic impedance.   Body odour is the smell caused by bacteria feeding on sweat on the skin, especially in the armpit and groin area. Fifty-four volunteers from students and employees of college of Education Ibn Al- Haitham, were surveyed. Data were obtained concerning: subject details and microbial examination. The following conclusions were reached:  1) coagulase negative Staphylococcus was the most common isolate. 2) The most effective antibiotics were amikacin, ciprofloxacin, vancomycin, cephalothin, tobramycin, gentamycin respectively and were least sensitive to methicillin and penicillin G. 3) Alum zirconium and alum chlorohydrate were the most effective antiperspirants.

This study deals with the processing  of field seismic data for a seismic line located within the administrative boundaries of Najaf and Muthanna governorates in southern Iraq (7Gn 21) with a length of 54 km. The study was conducted within the Processing Department of the Oil Exploration Company using the Omega  system, which contains a large number of programs that deal with processing, through the use of these programs applied  predictive deconvolution  of both( gap) and (spike). The final section was produced for both types. The gap predictive deconvolution  gave improvement in the shallow reflectors while in deep reflectors it did not give a good improvement, thus giving a good continuity of the reflectors at
