Transverse Direction Loading Effect on the Elasticity and Strength of Micro and Nano Silica Oxide Composites
...Show More Authors

Using three-point bending experiments,  the effect of the particle size of SiO2 on the flexural properties of epoxy composites was investigated. Young modulus and flexural strength were studied for different weight percentage of filler  (2,4,6,8 and 10) wt%.The size of SiO2 particles varied from micro (100um) to nano (12nm) .

Flexural strength and  Young modul were found to increase with the filler content, but when the particle size decreased to the nanoscale, the  Young module  increased. Flexural strength was higher for microcomposites than nanocomposites.

Monte Carlo Simulation of the Effective Solid Angle and the HPGe Response to Different Mono-Energetic Protons from Extended Source
...Show More Authors

A program using Mont Carlo techniques has been written to calculate the effective solid angle of the detection system and simulate the response of the HPGe to mono-energetic protons from an extend source. It has been found that the fraction of the protons which leave through the cylindrical surface and deposit only part of their kinetic energy in the crystal increases with proton energy and the consequent increase in their range.

Death rate and causes of death in the neonatal intensive care unit in the Children Welfare Teaching Hospital (2018-2021)
...Show More Authors

Background: The first month of life is the most vulnerable period and mortality during this period is an important component of under-5 mortalities. Causes of death in this period are preventable like sepsis, RDS, and asphyxia, while others are not like multiple congenital abnormalities.

Objectives: To study the death rate and main causes of death in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of the Children Welfare Teaching Hospital (CWTH) through the period (2018-2021).

Patients and methods: The death per year for the four years of the study and causes of death were collected retrospectively and analyzed for total death rate and rate for each year, sex distribution, male-to-

Densities of double salt [(NH4)2Fe(SO4)2.6H2O] dissolved in distilled water and in ethylene glycol at three temperatures (298.15,303.15 and 308.15)k have been utilized to calculate the apparent molar volume , limiting apparent molar volume ,experimental slop . These results provide as information about solute-solvent, solute-solute interaction and structure-forming, structure-breaking tendency from partial molar expansibility .
