For hydrochemical assessment of water resources at Baquba City, Diyala Governorate, four surface water samples were collected from the Diyala River and eight groundwater samples inside the city of Baquba. The samples were collected in the two periods, the dry period in October 2018 and the wet period in February 2019. The pH, EC, TH, turbidity, the major ions and trace elements (Fe, Cu, Co, Cd, Pb, Zn and Ni) were investigated. The results showed that the surface and groundwater are turbid, very hard and slightly brackish to moderately saltine in the groundwater, while it is hard to very hard and fresh in surface water. Heavy element analyzes revealed contamination of surface water samples and groundwater with the elements Cadmium, Nickel, Lead, Cobalt and Iron. The water type The water surface and groundwater samples are Na-Ca-Mg-So4- Chloride. The results showed that the water of Baquba is not suitable for human drinking, suitable for irrigation and livestock drinking purposes. According to the sodium adsorption ratio (SAR) and magnesium hazard (MH), all surface and groundwater samples are suitable for irrigation purposes.
In this paper, a study was made to determine the properties of Jovian radio bursts emitted at frequency 20.1MHZ. The data were provided from the Radio Jove archive for twelve years (2000-2012) for multi stations. The duration time for Long bursts (L) was (10-30) seconds and for Short bursts (S) was (10-20) seconds. The effect of radio bursts from the Sun and the galactic background were calculated at the same frequency and were found that radio bursts from the Sun will reduce the occurrence probability of Jovian radio bursts much more than radio bursts from the galactic background. The distribution of Jovian radio bursts was different; the occurrence probability with respect to the northern latitudes was more than the southern latitudes.
Discrete Raman amplifier have many attractive aspects over rare-earth doped fiber amplifier such as (EDFA) including arbitrary gain band, better adjustability of gain shape, and better linearity. This paper shows that discrete Raman amplifier has higher gain in bidirectional pumping than counter pumping. The gain increases with increasing fiber length, and the noise figure remain at the same value for short fiber length.
At the last years, the interesting of measurement spicilists was increased to study differential item functioning (DIF) wich is reflect the difference of propability true response for test item from subgroups which have equal level of ability . The aims of this research are, inform the DIFat Namers’scale(2009) for mental health to prepare students and detect items that have DIF. Sample research contants (540) students, we use Mantel- Haenzel chi-square to detect DIF. The results are point to there are (26) items have DIF according to gender which are delated form the scale after that.
A gliding arc discharge (GAD) with a water spray system was constructed. A non-thermal plasma, generated between two V shaped electrodes in an ambient argon driven by 100 Hz AC voltage, was investigated using optical emission spectroscopy (OES) with different gas flow rates (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 , 2.5 , 3 1/min). Boltzmann plot method was used to calculate electron temperature (Te) and electron density (ne). The electrodes design was spectrally recognized and its Te value was about 0.588-0.863 eV, while the ne value of 6.875×1017-10.938×1017 cm-3. The results of the plasma diagnostics generated by gliding arc showed that increasing gas f

To study the effect of interaction of water stress and hydrogen peroxide and potassium on the growth and yield of maize plant cultivar Bohooth 106. It Included the study of three levels of water stresses of 40 , 60 and 80% of the available water , (D1 , D2 and D3) respectively, three levels of hydrogen peroxide of concentrations (0 , 15 and 30 Mm), and foliar application of potassium at the concentration of 3000 mg K. L-1 K2SO4 and without applied potassium.. Split – Split with RCBD design with three replications were used. The levels of water stresses occupied the main plots , potassium lev

Two pore water pressure transducers placed at position near the middle and bottom of pile model to evaluate the pore water pressure during pullout tests. Seismic loading applied by uniaxial shaking table device, while the pullout tests were conducted through pullout device. The results of changing pore water pressure showed that the variation of pore water pressure near the bottom of pile is more than variation near the middle of pile in all tests. The variation of pore water

In this research, the most important services provided by urban wetlands from the point of view of the urban planner were reviewed, and the types of these lands and their divisions according to the type of services provided by each type were presented. Environmental is represented in its ability to reduce the dangers of floods, mitigate the climate and reduce its negative impacts, purify water and deplete a lot of suspended impurities and pollutants, and social services such as recreational areas and beautiful landscapes that inspire joy and reassurance in the soul, as well as cultural areas and sports activities for m
