Propose retina identification system based on the combination of SURF detector and BRISK descriptor

     In this paper the design of hybrid retina matching algorithm that is used in identification systems is considered. Retina based recognition is apparent as the most secure method for identification of an identity utilized to differentiate persons.

     The characteristics of Speeded up Robust Feature (SURF) and Binary Robust Invariant Scalable Key-Points (BRISK) algorithm have been used in order to produce a fast matching algorithm than the classical ones, those characteristics are important for real-time applications which usually need quick processing of a growing quantity of data. The algorithm is divided into three stages: retinal image processing and segmentation, extracting the local features from the retinal images using SURF and BRISK descriptors and finally matching those features using KNN matcher. The algorithm was trained with structured analysis of retina (STARE) database giving accuracy that reach 100%.

Natural radioactivity Measurements of Dur-Kurigalzu's Ziggurat, Baghdad Governorate-Iraq using HPGe detector

       Measurement of 238U, 233Th and 40K concentrations in soil samples collected from Ziggurat of Dur-Kurigalzu west region of Baghdad, have been evaluated, using high purity germanium detector. The activity concentrations of 238U, 233Th and 40K varied from 16.040  to 26.620 , 14.510  to 31.480 , and 153.820  to 266.320  with average values of 20.604±2.9 , 24.534±3.3 , 212.22±25.1 , respectively. The importance of these measurements lies in the estimation of radiation risk, radium equivalent, absorbed dose, annual effective dose, risk indices, gamma index, and cancer risk. Calculation of Full Energy Peak Efficiency for HPGe Detector Using Monte Carlo Method

This research presents results on the full energy peak efficiency of a high purity germanium (HPGe) detector from point source as a function of photon energy and source-detector distance. The directions of photons emitted from the source and the photon path lengths in the detector were determined by Monte Carlo technique. A major advantage of this technique is the short computation time compared to the experiments. Uranium concentrations in Soil of Salahdin Governorate Using CR-39 Nuclear Track Detector

Uranium concentrations in soil were determined for ten locations in Salahdin governorate using CR-39 track detector, fission fragments track technique was used, the nuclear reaction of nuclear fission fragments obtained by the bombardment of 235U with thermal neutrons from (Am-Be) neutron source with flux (5000n.cm-2.s-1), the concentration values were calculated by a comparison with standard samples. The results of the measurements show that the uranium concentration in soil samples various from 0.42±0.018ppm in Beji province to 0.2±0.014 ppm in Tooz province with an average (0.31±0.08ppm), the values of uranium concentration in all samples are within the permissible limits universally.

Measurement of the radioactivity in raw materials used in the ceramic industry in AL-Ramadi ceramic factory using (HPGe) detector

In this research, we have measured specific activity concentrations in five samples for raw materials used in ceramic industry in AL-Ramadi ceramic factory by using (HPGe) detector. The results have shown that, the average specific activity, for 238U, 232Th and 40K are equal to (18.300±6.4 Bq/kg), (17.988±6.1 Bq/kg), (167.952±63.5 Bq/kg), respectively.  In order to assess the radiological hazards of the radioactivity in samples, radium equivalent activity, absorbed gamma dose rate, indoor and outdoor annual effective dose rates, gamma Index and both (external and internal) hazard effects have been calculated. All results were found to be less than the allowed global limit given by (UNSCEAR, 2000).

Enhancement of lsb audio steganography based on carrier and message characteristics

Data steganography is a technique used to hide data, secret message, within another data, cover carrier. It is considered as a part of information security. Audio steganography is a type of data steganography, where the secret message is hidden in audio carrier. This paper proposes an efficient audio steganography method that uses LSB technique. The proposed method enhances steganography performance by exploiting all carrier samples and balancing between hiding capacity and distortion ratio. It suggests an adaptive number of hiding bits for each audio sample depending on the secret message size, the cover carrier size, and the signal to noise ratio (SNR). Fabrication and Enhancement of Organic Photodetectors Based on Iron Phthalocyanine Films

Iron–phthalocyanine (FePc) organic photoconductive detector was fabricated using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique to work in ultraviolet (UV) and visible regions. The organic semiconductor material (iron phthalocyanine) was deposited on n-type silicon wafer (Si) substrates at different thicknesses (100, 200 and 300) nm. FTIR and Electrical Behavior of Blend Electrolytes Based on (PVA/PVP)

Polymer electrolytes were prepared using the solution cast technology. Under some conditions, the electrolyte content of polymers was analyzed in constant percent of PVA/PVP (50:50), ethylene carbonate (EC), and propylene carbonate (PC) (1:1) with different proportions of potassium iodide (KI) (10, 20, 30, 40, 50 wt%) and iodine (I2) = 10 wt% of salt.
