Evaluation Efficiency of Wind Turbines for Barjisiah (South of Iraq) Wind Plant
...Show More Authors

The main objective of the paper is to study the possibility of erecting 2 MW wind turbine in the south of Iraq (Barjisiah site) by utilizing WAsP model. Wind potential and output predicted the power of WT at a supposed site was calculated. The results for proposed WT showed the WT has a weak performance due to its high capacity and low potential of wind speeds at this site. So, the WT will provide power for a limited time during the year due to its operating at the zone under the rated wind speed.

non-probability accidental sample of 400 repatriates who had visited; Ministry of Human Rights,
Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Defense. A questionnaire was constructed for this purpose, which
consisted of 6 items for demographic data, and 14 items for measuring Hypochondriasis. Reliability
and validity of the questionnaire had been determined through the pilot study (Test and retest) and the
experts panel. Data were collected with using the constructed questionnaire an

Mineralogy of Recent Sediments of AL-Teeb River Basin East Missan Governorate Southeastern Iraq
...Show More Authors

The main aim of this research is to define the mineralogical composition of recent sediments deposited around the Al-Teeb river basin in eastern Missan, trying to determine the provenance or the source of these sediments.

The study area represents the southeastern edge of the Mesopotamian Plain and is part of it. Quaternary deposits cover most of the area. It is clayey with old sea and river deposits and part of aeolian deposits.

These sediments cover 95% of the study area, while the older rocks, which date back to the Tertiary (Late Miocene – Pliocene), exposed in the area east and northeast of the Al-Teeb area, made up hills which back to the undifferentiated Pliocene Mukdadiya and Bai-Hassan f

Climatic Water Balance and Hydrogeological characteristics of Lailan Basin, Southeast Kirkuk - North of Iraq
...Show More Authors

This paper examined the climatic water balance and hydrogeological conditions of the water bearing layers within Lailan basin. To achieve the water balance the meteorological data from Kirkuk station for the period (1970 to 2016) was used to calculate the water surplus and water deficit. Based on Mehta's model the water surplus (Ws) is equal to (127.86 mm/ year) representing 36.87 % of the total rainfall, while 63.13% of the total rainfall are water deficit. The study area is characterized by two main aquifer types, unconfined and semi-confined. Generally, groundwater recharge occurs from both sides of the basin toward the center and the general flow direction is from northeast to southwest. To det

Petrophysical characterizations of Mishrif Formation in Selected Wells of Tuba Oil Field, Southern Iraq
...Show More Authors

The current study includes building (CPI) & Petrophysical Evaluation of the Mishrif Formation (Cenomanian-Early Turonian) in Tuba oilfield, southern Iraq by using Interactive Petrophysics Program v3.5 (IP)  to evaluate different logs parameters that control the reservoir quality of Mishrif Formation such as shale volume, effective porosity, and water saturation. Mishrif Formation is subdivided into several units, which are characterized by different reservoir properties. These units are Top of Mishrif, MA, CR2, MB1, and MB2.The results of computer processed interpretation (CPI) show that the major  reservoir unit are (MB1 and MB2), which are characterized by high effective porosity and oil saturation. In addition, these uni
