The Esterification kinetics of acetic acid with ethanol in the presence of sulfuric acid as a homogenous catalyst was studied with isothermal batch experiments at 50-60°C and at a different molar ratio of ethanol to acetic acid [EtOH/Ac]. Investigation of kinetics of the reaction indicated that the low of [EtOH/Ac] molar ratio is favored for esterification reaction, this is due to the reaction is catalyzed by acid. The maximum conversion, approximately 80% was obtained at 60°C for molar ratio of 10 EtOH/Ac. It was found that increasing temperature of the reaction, increases the rate constant and conversion at a certain mole ratio, that is due to the esterification is exothermic. A seismicity study of khanaqin city and surrounding area is carried out. More than 270
quakes between 22 Nov. to 30 Dec. 2013 are recorded by Iraqi Seismic Network (ISN).
Analyses of these events show earthquakes magnitude range between (1.2 – 5.6) degree,
focal depth between (4 – 27) km. Seismotectonic map for studied area is drawn .
Isointensity maps for the felt earthquakes are drawn and show the intensity range
between (I-VII) according to the modified Mercalli scale. Fault plane solutions for four
events in the study area indicate a reverse strike slip solution along planes with NW –SE
direction 

Physical and chemical adsorption analyses were carried out by nitrogen gas using ASTM apparatus at 77 K
and hydrogen gas using volumetric apparatus at room temperature respectively. These analyses were used for

      The complexes of Pd+2 ion with 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-dieıhyl aminophenol (BPADAP) were studied kinetically and spectrophotometrically in aqueous ethanolic solutions. The reagent forms 1:1, 2:1 square planer and 1:1 bridged shape binuclear complexes with Pd+2 ion. All these complexes (violet colour) absorb light in the same region at 540, 575 and 618nm.
