Enhancement of Spectrum Sensing Performance via Cooperative Cognitive Radio ‎Networks at Low SNR
...Show More Authors

The inefficient use of spectrum is the key subject to overcome the upcoming spectrum crunch issue. This paper presents a study of performance of cooperative cognitive network via hard combining of decision fusion schemes. Simulation results presented different cooperative hard decision fusion schemes for cognitive network. The hard-decision fusion schemes provided different discriminations for detection levels. They also produced small values of Miss-Detection Probability at different values of Probability of False Alarm and adaptive threshold levels. The sensing performance was investigated under the influence of channel condition for proper operating conditions. An increase in the detection performance was achieved for cognitive users (secondary users) of the authorized unused dynamic spectrum holes (primary users) while operating in a very low signal-to-noise ratio  with the proper condition of minimum total error rate.

THE EVALUATION OF PUBLIC SERVICES IN BAQUBAH CITY BY USING REMOTE SENSING & GIS TECHNIQUES
...Show More Authors

Baqubah city has grown extremely rapidly. The rate of growth exceeds the growth of services that must grow side by side with the growth of population. There are natural features that affect the growth of Baqubah city such as Dieyala river, Alssariya river, in addition to agricultural areas .All these natural features affect the growth of Baqubah city in the running form being seen . In this research the remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS) techniques are used for monitoring urban expansion and forecasting the probable axes to the growth of the city, and found that the probability of Baqubah growth to east is preferred due to Baqubah growth to the east would never interfere with natural features. Also in this res

Iterative Methods for Approximation of Fixed Points Via Like Contraction Mappings
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>The aim of this paper, is to study different iteration algorithms types two steps called, modified SP, Ishikawa, Picard-S iteration and M-iteration, which is faster than of others by using like contraction mappings. On the other hand, the M-iteration is better than of modified SP, Ishikawa and Picard-S iterations. Also, we support our analytic proof with a numerical example.</p>

OPTIMIZING MEDIA STERILIZATION VIA CHLORINE DIOXIDE AND AUTOCLAVING OF PAULOWNI MICROPROPAGATION
...Show More Authors

This study was aimed to investigat integrated system for in vitro growth of paulownia plants by assessing the efficacy of chlorine dioxide (ClO2) as an alternative to autoclave in sterilizing culture medium. Therefore, this study was devised to compare autoclave sterilization at three different times (5, 10, and 15) minutes and three different concentrations of ClO2 (0, 0.4, 0,8, 1) mg/L. The results showed that, compared with (0.4) mg/L concentration,  concentrations of (0.8 and 1) mg/L are more effective at sterilizing the culture medium. ClO2 sterilization improved individual single node growth more than autoclave sterilization. Since ClO2 is non-toxic, it could be used as a safe alternative to autoclave when propagating paulown

Enhanced Relative Humidity Sensor via Diameter of No-Core Fiber Structure
...Show More Authors

Single mode-no core-single mode fiber structure with a section of tuned no-core fiber diameter to sense changes in relative humidity has been experimentally demonstrated. The sensor performance with tuned NCF diameter was investigated to maximize the evanescent fields. Different tuned diameters of of (100, 80, and 60)μm were obtained by chemical etching process based on hydrofluoric acid immersion. The highest wavelength sensitivity was obtained 184.57 pm/RH% in the RH range of 30% –100% when the no-core fiber diameter diameter was 60 μm and the sensor response was in real-time measurements

Study of Telegraph Equation via He-Fractional Laplace Homotopy Perturbation Technique
...Show More Authors

A new technique to study the telegraph equation, mostly familiar as damped wave equation is introduced in this study. This phenomenon is mostly rising in electromagnetic influences and production of electric signals.  The proposed technique called as He-Fractional Laplace technique with help of Homotopy perturbation is utilized to found the exact and nearly approximated results of differential model and numerical example of telegraph equation or damped wave equation in this article. The most unique term of this technique is that, there is no worry to find the next iteration by integration in recurrence relation. As fractional Laplace integral transformation has some limitations in non-linear terms, to get the result of nonlinear term in

The Spectrophotometric Determination of Olanzapine via Coupling with Diazotized p-Nitroaniline
...Show More Authors

A new spectrophotometric method has been developed for the assay of olanzapine (OLN.) in pure and dosage forms. The method is based on the diazocoupling of (OLN.) with diazotized p-nitroaniline in alkaline medium to form a stable brown colored water-soluble azo dye with a maximum absorption at 405 nm.  The variables that affect the completion of reaction have been carefully optimized. Beer’s law is obeyed over the concentration range of (0.5-45.0 μg.mL-1) with a molar absorptivity of 1.5777×104 L.mol-1.cm-1.  The limit of detection was  0.3148  Î¼g.mL-1 and  Sandell’s  sensitivity value was 0.0198 μg.cm-2. Optical Properties of Mixed ZnO: Fe2O3 Grown via Pulsed laser deposition
...Show More Authors

In this study, mixing of  zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles with iron oxide(Fe2O3) at      (0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 1)%wt., are deposited on glass substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique for study characterization ZnO:Fe2O3 as solar cell electrode. The profound effect of mixed film on the structural and optical of ZnO: Fe2O3 thin films was observed. Meanwhile, the films have polycrystalline Hexagonal structures for ZnO, Rhombohedra and cubic structure for Fe2O3, and as indicated by the X-ray diffraction patterns of the films. The mean crystallite size of ZnO increase with increasing mixed ratio. The direct energy

User Authentication Based on Keystroke Dynamics Using Artificial Neural Networks
...Show More Authors

Computer systems and networks are being used in almost every aspect of our daily life, the security threats to computers and networks have increased significantly. Usually, password-based user authentication is used to authenticate the legitimate user. However, this method has many gaps such as password sharing, brute force attack, dictionary attack and guessing. Keystroke dynamics is one of the famous and inexpensive behavioral biometric technologies, which authenticate a user based on the analysis of his/her typing rhythm. In this way, intrusion becomes more difficult because the password as well as the typing speed must match with the correct keystroke patterns. This thesis considers static keystroke dynamics as a transparent layer of t

The aim of this paper is to design fast neural networks to approximate periodic functions, that is, design a fully connected networks contains links between all nodes in adjacent layers which can speed up the approximation times, reduce approximation failures, and increase possibility of obtaining the globally optimal approximation. We training suggested network by Levenberg-Marquardt training algorithm then speeding suggested networks by choosing most activation function (transfer function) which having a very fast convergence rate for reasonable size networks.             In all algorithms, the gradient of the performance function (energy function) is used to determine how to

Compression Index and Compression Ratio Prediction by Artificial Neural Networks
...Show More Authors

Information about soil consolidation is essential in geotechnical design. Because of the time and expense involved in performing consolidation tests, equations are required to estimate compression index from soil index properties. Although many empirical equations concerning soil properties have been proposed, such equations may not be appropriate for local situations. The aim of this study is to investigate the consolidation and physical properties of the cohesive soil. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) has been adapted in this investigation to predict the compression index and compression ratio using basic index properties. One hundred and ninety five consolidation results for soils tested at different construction sites
