The current study was used 20 male rabbits that divided into four groups (consist of five rabbits in each group), The first group was considered as control and fed normal diet and given tap water, The second group was consisted of rabbits that fed on high cholesterol diet for six weeks, The third group was consisted of rabbits that fed on high cholesterol diet and 50mg root extract for six weeks, The forth group was consisted of rabbits that fed on high cholesterol diet and 100mg root extract for six weeks. The male rabbits that feeding on high cholesterol diet showed significant increased (P < 0.05) the levels of cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL, VLDL, MDA and HMG-CoA reductase while HDL and GSH levels were significantly decreased (P < 0.05) compared with to control group. It was concluded from this study that root extract has amply good effective role on hyperlipidemia of male rabbits.
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) is one of the most economically important species of the family Lamiaceae. Rosemary extract was examined by applying 2.2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical-scavenging assays. The result proved that rosemary extract had a higher antioxidant activity by absorption at a wavelength of 517a nm by using three different concentrations (0.5, 1.0 and 3) mg/ml which performed the absorbance at (2. 314, 0. 211 and 0.296) nm in comparison with control (21.8, 92.2 and 90) nm respectively. A three-dimensional linear finite element analysis using STAAD.Pro V8i program has been employed to evaluate and determine the actual top flange stress distribution and effective width in steel box girders. The steel plates of the flanges and webs have been modeled by four-node isoparametric shell elements, while the stiffeners have been modeled as beam elements. Forty eight isolates (41.02%) were obtained from 117 wound and burn samples. The isolates that showed high resistance for both antibiotic was two only that represent 4,1% from all isolates. The result of PCR product electrophoresis was referred that the gene is VIM gene. Lactose and raffinose showed double increasing in diameter of inhibition zone of imipenem with 1% that mean showed highest susceptibility that decreased with the concentration increasing, the same result were with meropenem.
