This paper deals with the estimation of the stress strength reliability for a component which has a strength that is independent on opposite lower and upper bound stresses, when the stresses and strength follow Inverse Kumaraswamy Distribution. D estimation approaches were applied, namely the maximum likelihood, moment, and shrinkage methods. Monte Carlo simulation experiments were performed to compare the estimation methods based on the mean squared error criteria.

In this study, a series of shaking table tests were carried out for shallow footing resting on sand soil. The input motion is three earthquake loadings (0.05g, 0.1g, and 0.2g). The study includes a reviewing of theoretical equations (available in literatures), which estimating settlement of footings due to earthquake loading, calibration, and verification of these equations with data from the shaking table test for improved soil by grouting and unimproved soil. A study of taxonomic quality of soil algae was conducted with some environmental variables in three sites of local gardens (Kadhimiya, Adhamiya and Dora) within the governorate of Baghdad for the period from October 2016 to March 2017. The study identified 28 species belonging to 16 species in which the predominance of blue green algae (18 species) Followed by Bacillarophyta algae (7 species) and three types of Chlorophyta.
