Climate and hydrological conditions in any hydrological basin are multi-combined reflection of natural factors of morphology and soil nature, as well as the changing in climate factors that affect directly on hydrological cycle. Water balance techniques are a means of solution of important theoretical and practical hydrological problems, while estimating the physical properties of water-bearing layers is an essential part of groundwater studies. One of the most effective ways of determining these properties is to conduct and analyze aquifer tests. The aim of this research is to compare groundwater recharge in Khan Al-Baghdadi area which located to northwest of Anbar governorate in the west of Iraq, depending on meteorological water balance and calculated hydraulic parameters of groundwater aquifers in order to predict the suitable methods to determine groundwater recharge. Geographical position, elevations, static water levels, depths, thicknesses and maximum yields were carried out during field work. Meteorological parameters of Hit station during the period (1995-2010) was used to calculate water surplus using Thorntwaite formula, while cooper-Jacob and Theis recovery solutions were used to calculate transmissivity and storage coefficient. The result indicate that water surplus was (16.71) mm. divided into (10.13) mm as runoff and (6.58) mm as groundwater recharge. The average annual of groundwater recharge in the area was (41.38) million cubic meters depending on water balance technique, while annual groundwater recharge calculated based hydraulic parameter was (41.51) million cubic meters.
In this paper, the single scatter model for gamma backscatter densitometer has been used to investigate the materials of Halley’s nucleus. Monte Carlo simulation tool is used for the evaluation and calibration of gamma backscatter densitometer; and also used to calculate the bulk density. A set of parameters effecting detected count rate of γ – ray backscattering, mainly the source energy, the source – detector separation (sonde length), density and composition, were calculated.
Results obtained with the present method are compared with experimental data and the computed data may be considered entirely satisfactory.
The Rafidian artist discussed the headdresses of his idols with a varied scholarly momentum, so each idol had its own cover as this door of diversity contributed to the enrichment of Rafidian thought and full knowledge of their ideas and beliefs consistent with their multiple symbolic connections such as architecture, for example. The previous one, if not its entirety.
A research such as this (the discursive connections to the head-covers of the deities of the Mesopotamian civilization) aims to clarify the confusion that occurs through four chapters: The first chapter included: the research problem, the importance of research and the need for it, the objectives of the research, the temporal, spatial and objective limits of research, a
The fatigue is one of the major reasons for fracture of materials. Aluminum 7204 AA alloy with various heat treatments and (2.0) wt % of SiC nanoparticles were prepared by stir-casting method under rotating bending loading with ratio of stress (R= -1). The composite was strengthened by SiC particles size of) 10 (nanometre. The fatigue strength and life were obtained experimentally by the family of S-N curves for different heat treatments. The endurance limits (107cycles) for 7204 AA/ 2.0wt% SiC nano-composite fatigue strength as related to untreated nanocomposite was enhanced by 72 and 78.5% for T4 and T6, respectively. The improvement

Improving electron temperature values is one of the important processes for using this specification in plasma for being adopted in several modern applications such as nuclear fusion, plating operations and in industrial applications. In this work, theoretical computations were performed to enhance electron temperature under dense homogeneous plasma. The effect of power and duration time of pulsed Nd:YAG laser was studied on the heating of plasmas by inverse bremsstrahlung for several values for the electron density ratio. There results for these ca

Show MoreThis contribution investigates structural, electronic, and optical properties of cubic barium titanate (BaTiO3) perovskites using first-principles calculations of density functional theory (DFT). Generalized gradient approximations (GGA) alongside with PW91 functional have been implemented for the exchange–correlation potential. The obtained results display that BaTiO3 exhibits a band gap of 3.21 eV which agrees well with the previously experimental and theoretical literature. Interestingly, our results explore that when replacing Pd atom with Ba and Ti atoms at 0.125 content a clear decrease in the electronic band gap of 1.052 and 1.090 eV located within the visible range of electromagnetic wavelengths (EMW). Optical parameters such as a

Show MoreThe effect of three high temperatures for five exposure periods on the developments of larvae, pupae and adults of Trogoderma granarium (Everts) and their biological performance were investigated. The results revealed that the percent of mortality was increased as the temperature and the exposure period increased, e. g. exposing last instar larvae to 45°C for 6 hrs caused 100% death of this stage, while exposing adults (1-3) days old to the same temperature and exposure time resulted in that these adults did not able to survive more than 24 hrs.; in addition, the results showed that the ability of reproduction of adults was depended on the temperature, duration of exposure and the sex.
An accurate and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of carbamazepine (CRN.) in pure and dosage forms. The method is based on the oxidation of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (2,4-DNPHz) by potassium periodate than coupling with carbamazepine (CRN.) in alkaline medium to form a stable yellowish brown colored water-soluble dye with a maximum absorption at 485 nm. The variables that affect the completion of reaction have been carefully optimized. Beer’s law is obeyed over the concentration range of (4-50 μg.mL-1) with molar absorptivity of (6.7335×103 L.mol-1.cm1). The limit of detection was (0.1052 μg.mL-1) and Sandell’s sensitivity value was 0.0350 μg.cm-2.

Full-waveform airborne laser scanning data has shown its potential to enhance available segmentation and classification approaches through the additional information it can provide. However, this additional information is unable to directly provide a valid physical representation of surface features due to many variables affecting the backscattered energy during travel between the sensor and the target. Effectively, this delivers a mis-match between signals from overlapping flightlines. Therefore direct use of this information is not recommended without the adoption of a comprehensive radiometric calibration strategy that accounts for all these effects. This paper presents a practical and reliable radiometric calibration r

Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the family-centered care health services of family-provider partnership in Baghdad/ Iraq.
Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study is conducted in Baghdad Province. A cluster samples of 440 clients who review family centered care for the purpose of health services. The instruments underlying the study phenomenon deals with client's socio-demographic characteristics and family centered care questionnaire which include (partnership related to decision-making team, supporting the family as the constant in the child’s life, family-to-family and peer support and supporting transition to adulthood). Show MoreEDIRKTO, an Implicit Type Runge-Kutta Method of Diagonally Embedded pairs, is a novel approach presented in the paper that may be used to solve 4th-order ordinary differential equations of the form . There are two pairs of EDIRKTO, with three stages each: EDIRKTO4(3) and EDIRKTO5(4). The derivation techniques of the method indicate that the higher-order pair is more accurate, while the lower-order pair provides superior error estimates. Next, using these pairs as a basis, we developed variable step codes and applied them to a series of -order ODE problems. The numerical outcomes demonstrated how much more effective their approach is in reducing the quantity of function evaluations needed to resolve fourth-order ODE issues.
