Study the Influence of Solar Activity on the Ionospheric Electron, Ion and Neutral Particle Temperatures over Iraqi Region Using Ionospheric Models

The influence of solar activity on the predicted ionospheric temperature parameters (electron Te, Ion Ti and neutral particle Tn) have been investigated over ionospheric Iraqi region by data generated using International Reference Ionosphere (IRI) and Madrigal models, the models result have been compared during the minimum and the maximum of solar cycle 24 for the years 2009 and 2016 respectively and for an altitudes ranged from 200-1000 km. The region under consideration spans over (latitude 29.1-37.2oN; longitude 38.9-47.7oE) within Iraq territory, the purpose of this paper is to determine the affection of the solar activity represented by the (sunspot number and solar flux) on the annual behaviors of the ionospheric temperature parameters (Te, Ti and Tn).The results of the conducted study showed that the solar activity of the adopted years exhibited a weak affection on the ionospheric temperature parameters, where (Tn) was the highly affected parameter and (Te) was the poorly affected one. Also, the ionospheric temperature parameters were increased with altitudes increment except for (Tn) which was increased with altitudes till 400 km, than it reaches its maximum value and keep constant.

Study of the Effect of Solar Indices on the Ionosphere Layer of Mars

               This paper studies the effect of the solar indices (total sunspot no., solar wind density and coronal mass ejection linear speed) on F2- layer electron density, as well as, the comparison of seasonal variations of electron density of F2- layer, NmF2, for Mars at local noontime and for maximum and minimum solar cycles.                  

 Results show that there is an inverse correlation between sunspot number, solar wind density, CME linear speed and ionosphere electron density for Mars, at maximum and minimum solar cycles. This correlation is clear when electron density is at minimum value.

Study the correlation between Sunspot Number and Solar Flux during Solar Cycle 24.

Abstract

     In this research, a study of the behavior and correlation between sunspot number (SSN) and solar flux (F10.7) have been suggested. The annual time of the years (2008-2017) of solar cycle 24 has been adopted to make the investigation in order to get the mutual correlation between (SSN) and (F10.7). The test results of the annual correlation between SSN & F10.7 is simple and can be represented by a linear regression equation. The results of the conducted study showed that there was a good fit between SSN and F10.7 values that have been generated using the suggested mutual correlation equation and the observed data.

Studies on the Relationship Between Chromium(III) ion and Thyroid Peroxidase Activity in Sera of Patients with Thyroid Dysfunction

   The  objective of this study was to determine the concentration of trace element chromium(III) and thyroid peroxidase activity in human serum , and    to find a relationship between the concentration of chromium(III) and thyroid peroxidase activity in serum of patients with hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism and healthy subjects. Serum thyroid peroxidase was measured by enzyme linked radioimmunoassay(ELISA) method and chromium determination was by atomic absorption spectrophotometer .Comparing the values of chromium concentration and thyroid peroxidase activity in both samples showed that there were significant positive correlations between chromium levels and thyroid peroxidase activity(P<0.01, r=0.11).

    In this paper, we calculate the electron energy distribution function (EEDF) and transport parameters including the electron mean energy, mobility, drift velocity and diffusion coefficient for the gas mixtures of the H2 and N2 using the EEDF program. Temperature Impacts on the Cardiac Activity of the Snail Pomacea canaliculata from Shatt Al-Arab Region, Basrah, Iraq

The effects of temperature on an exotic aquatic snail Pomacea canaliculata  (Lamarck, 1819) collected from the Shatt Al-Arab intertidal zone were investigated. A series of laboratory experiments were conducted during the summer period of 2017. Individuals of new born snails hatched in the laboratory from adult snails were collected from Shatt Al-Arab intertidal zone, and subjected to five fixed temperatures: 15, 25, 35, 40 and 45 Cº, after short term thermal acclimation.
