Influence of ZnO Nanoparticles on Candida albicans of Human Male Pleural Fluid

The utilization of metal oxide nanoparticles, especially zinc oxide, is of a great importance in the medical field because of its physical and chemical properties as well as its antimicrobial potential effects. In our study, the ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by the precipitation method where pH=14. ZnO nanoparticles were characterized by ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atomic force microscope (AFM). Antifungal activity of the ZnO was tested against candida albicans. The results showed that C. albicans (15 samples) became resistant to the fungal activity after testing its sensitivity to several types of fungal antibiotics. UV-vis spectroscopy, XRD, TEM and AFM showed that this precipitation synthetic method can produce a good quality of ZnO nanoparticles with sizes in the range of nanometer scale. In ZnO NPs (calcined), the inhibition zone diameter of C. albicans was 11 mm at a ZnO NPs concentration of 800 mg/ml, while no inhibition zones were formed at the other concentrations (0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 10, 50 and 500 mg/ml). Using ZnO NPs (not calcined), the inhibition zone diameter of C. albicans was 24 mm at a concentration of 800 mg/ml, while no inhibition zones were observed at the other concentrations (0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 10, 50 and 500 mg/ml). In addition, a toxicity test was performed on mice and proved that ZnO NPs are effective against C. albicans with a toxic effect on liver and spleen cells in rats. The aim of this research was to characterize the in vitro activity of ZnO nanoparticles synthesized by the precipitation method against C. albicans of human male pleural fluid using the well diffusion method as well as their toxic effects on both liver and spleen cells in mice.

Study The Influence of Doping Electric and Magnetic Nanoparticles on The Nonlinear Optical Properties of Nematic Liquid Crystals

The nonlinear optical properties response of nematic liquid crystal (6CHBT) and the impact of doping with two kinds of nanoparticles; Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles and SbSI ferroelectric nanoparticles have been studied using the non-linear dynamic method through z-scan measurement technique. This was achieved utilizing CW He-Ne laser. The pure LC and magnetic LC nanoparticle composite samples had a maximum absorption while the ferroelectric LC nanoparticle composite had a minimum absorption of the incident light. The nonlinear refractive index was positive for the pure LC and the rod-like ferronematic LC composite samples, while it was negative for the ferroelectric LC composite. The studying of the nonlinear optical

Influence of Magnetic Force for Peristaltic Transport of Non-Newtonian Fluid Through Porous Medium in Asymmetric Channel

In this paper, we study the effects of a magnetic force on the flow of hybrid bio - nano fluid (Cu - Au. NPs) for a peristaltic channel through a porous medium in an asymmetric channel. Nanoparticles of gold and copper as well as the blood (the base fluid) is taken into account. By using the Adomian decomposition method to solve the governing equations, formulas for velocity, stream function, temperature, current density, and magnetic force have been obtained. The findings show that Gold nanoparticles have an elevation magnetic force compared with copper nanoparticles, based on fluid (blood) and hybrid nanofluid. Finally, the phenomenon of trapping is offered as an explanation for the physical behavior of many parameters. The ef

Impact of ZnO Atomic Ratio on Structural, Morphological and Some Optical Properties of (SnO2)1-x (ZnO)x Thin Films

In this work, SnO2 and (SnO2)1-x(ZnO)x composite thin films with different ZnO atomic ratios (x=0, 5, 10, 15 and 20%) were prepared by pulsed laser deposition technique on clean glass substrates at room temperature without any treatment. The deposited thin films were characterized by x-ray diffraction atomic force microscope  and UV-visible spectrophotometer to study the effect of the ZnO atomic ratio on their structural, morphological and optical properties. It was found that the crystallinety and the crystalline size vary according to ZnO atomic ratio. The surface appeared as longitudinal structures which was convert to spherical shapes with increasing ZnO atomic ratio. The optical trans

Enhancing Gas Sensing Performance of TiO2-ZnO nanostructures: Effect of ZnO Concentration

Gas sensors based on titanium dioxide (TiO2) and zinc oxide (ZnO) nanocomposites are considered energy-saving devices that are utilized to find dangerous or harmful gases in an environment. The performance of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) gas sensors have been improved by spin-coating a TiO2 and TiO2:ZnO nanocomposite with varying concentrations (90TiO2:10ZnO, 70TiO2:30ZnO, and 50TiO2:50ZnO). To correlate structural properties with gas-sensing behavior, structural and morphological characterization has been done using FESEM, XRD, and EDX.  Without any ZnO-specific crystalline phase, TiO2
