   This study aims to determine the petrophysical characteristics of the three wells in the Kifl Oilfield, central Iraq. The well logs were used to characterize hydrocarbon reservoirs to assess the hydrocarbon prospectivity, designate hydrocarbon and water-bearing zones, and determine the Nahr Umr Formation's petrophysical parameters. The Nahr Umr reservoir mainly consists of sandstone at the bottom and has an upper shale zone containing a small proportion of oil. The geophysical logs data from three oil wells include gamma-ray, resistivity, neutron, density, acoustic, and spontaneous potential logs. This work includs synthesis of several Schiff bases by condensation of 6- methoxy – 2- amino benzothiazole with some aldehydes and ketones (2- hydroxyl benzaldehyde, 4- hydroxyl benzaldehyde, 4- N,N –dimethy amino acetophenone, benzophenone) to abtain schiff bases (1-5). These schiff bases were found to react with phthalate anhydride to give oxazepine derivatives (6-10) that were reacted with primary aromatic amines to give Diazepine derivatives (11-15). Besides, we prepared new tetrazole derivatives (16-20) from the reaction of the prepared Schiff bases with sodium azide in the prepared compounds that were characterized by physical properties, FT-IR and some of the 1H-NMR and 13C –NMR spectroscopy.

The purpose of this research work is to synthesize conjugates of NSAIDs (ibuprofen, and naproxen) with sulfadiazine as possible mutual prodrugs to overcome the local gastric irritation of NSAIDs with free carboxyl group by formation of ester linkage that supposed to remain intact in stomach and may hydrolyze in intestine chemically or enzymatically; in addition to that attempting to target the synthesized derivative to the colon by formation of azo bond that undergo reduction only by colonic bacterial azoreductaze enzyme to liberate the parent compound to act locally (treatment of inflammation and infections in colon)

   In this study, titanium dioxide (TiO₂ (are synthesized by sol– gel simple method. Thin films of sol, gel, and sol- gel on relatively flat glass substrates are applied with Spin coating technique with multilayers. The optical and morphological properties (studied using AFM) of TiO₂ layers show good properties, with particles diameters less than 4 nm for all prepared samples and have maximum length 62 nm for TiO₂ gel thin films of three layers. The results show low roughness values for all films especially for 4 layers sol (8.37nm), which improve the application in dye sensitive solar cell (DSSc)         .  

    In this research, CNRs have been synthesized using pyrolysis of plastic waste(pp) at 1000 ° C for one hour in a closed reactor made from stainless steel, using magnesium oxide (MgO) as a catalyst. A series of new 1,8-naphthalimides linked to azetidinone, thiazolidinone or tetrazole moieties were synthesized. N-ester-1,8-naphthalimide (1) was obtained by direct imidation of 1,8-naphthalic anhydride with ethylglycinate. Compound (1) was treated with hydrazine hydrate in absolute ethanol to give N-acetohydrazide-1,8-naphthalimide (2). The hydrazine derivative (2) was used to obtain new Schiff bases (3-7). Three routes with different reagents were used for the cyclization of the prepared Schiff bases. Fifteen cyclic Schiff bases (8-22) with four- and five-membered rings were obtained.
