Physical–Spectroscopic Study of Charge-Transfer Complexes of Some Purine Derivatives with (π) and (σ) Electron Acceptors
...Show More Authors

Charge-transfer (CT) complexes of adenine (Ade.), guanine (Gua.), xanthine (Xan.), and inosine (Ino.) as electron donors with 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ), 2,3,5,6-tetrabromo-1,4-benzoquinone (Bromanil)(BA) as π – electron acceptors and iodine (Iod.) as σ – electron acceptor were studied and their electronic spectra recorded .In each case one (CT) band was observed and recorded. These spectroscopic investigations made in ethanol solvent at (20°C) temperature. The values of equilibrium constant (KCT), change in standard free energy (ΔG°), molar extinction coefficient (εCT(, absorption band energy (hνCT) of CT complexes and the association energy of the CT complexes-excited state (W) were calculated and studied with discussed. The ionization potential of the donors (IP) were calculated and discussed from the CT complex band lowest energy. The oscillator strength (fCT), transition dipole moment (μCT) and resonance energy (ER) were also calculated and discussed.

Estimation of Extract Yield and Mass Transfer Coefficient in Solvent Extraction of Lubricating Oil
...Show More Authors

An investigation was conducted to suggest relations for estimating yield and properties of the improved light lubricating oil fraction produced from furfural extraction process by using specified regression.

Mass transfer in mixer-settler has been studied. Mass transfer coefficient of continuous phase, mass transfer coefficient of dispersed phase and the overall mass transfer coefficient extraction of light lubes oil distillate fraction by furfural are calculated in addition to all physical properties of individual components and the extraction mixtures.

The effect of extraction variables were studied such as extraction temperature which ranges from 70 to 110°C and solvent to oil ratio which ranges from 1:1 to 4:1 (wt/wt

Synthesis And Characterization Of New Metals Complexes Of [N-(acetyl amino) Thioxomethyl] Valine
...Show More Authors

A new ligand [N-(acetyl amino) thioxomethyl] valine was prepared from the reaction of acetyl iso thiocyanate with valine. The ligand was characterized by FT-IR, UV- vis and 1HNMR spectrum, The complexes with some metal ions (M +2 =Co,Ni,Cu,Zn,Cd,Hg) have been prepared and characterized. The structural diagnosis were established by IR,UV-Vis  spectrum, flame atomic absorption spectroscopy conductivity and magnetic susceptibility ,the complexes showed tetrahedral geometry around the metal   l.

An Evolutionary-Based Mutation With Functional Annotation to Identify Protein Complexes Within PPI Networks
...Show More Authors

The research deals with an evolutionary-based mutation with functional annotation to identify protein complexes within PPI networks. An important field of research in computational biology is the difficult and fundamental challenge of revealing complexes in protein interaction networks. The complex detection models that have been developed to tackle challenges are mostly dependent on topological properties and rarely use the biological  properties of PPI networks. This research aims to push the evolutionary algorithm to its maximum by employing gene ontology (GO) to communicate across proteins based on biological information similarity for direct genes. The outcomes show that the suggested method can be utilized to improve the

Numerical Simulation of Natural Convection Heat Transfer from Interrupted Rectangular Fins
...Show More Authors

Numerical simulations have been investigated to study the external free convective heat transfer from a vertically rectangular interrupted fin arrays. The continuity, Naver-Stockes and energy equations have been solved for steady-state, incompressible, two dimensional, laminar with Boussiuesq approximation by Fluent 15 software. The performance of interrupted fins was evaluated to gain the optimum ratio of interrupted length to fin length (

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND PRELIMINARY ANTIMICROBIAL EVALUATION OF NEW SCHIFF BASES OF AMPICILLIN AND AMOXICILLIN DERIVED FROM ISATIN DERIVATIVES
...Show More Authors

Objectives: Six different Schiff bases were synthesized from ampicillin and amoxicillin with isatin, 5-bromoisatin, and 5-nitroisatin. Methods: Ampicillin and Amoxicillin are linked directly through their α-amino groups to the acyl side chain with isatin and isatin derivatives by nucleophilic addition using glacial acetic acid as a catalyst. Results: chemical structures of these Schiff bases were confirmed using FTIR, 1H NMR and elemental microanalysis. The antibacterial activity was evaluated by measuring minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values and showed various degrees of antibacterial activities when compared with parent drugs. Compounds 1a and 2b, which are the Schiff bases of ampicillin and amoxicillin with isatin, showed very

The aim of this work is to evaluate the onc-electron expectation values < r > from the radial electronic density funetion D(r) for different wave ?'unctions for the 2s state of Li atom. The wave functions used were published in 1963,174? and 1993 , respectavily. Using " " ' wave function as a Slater determinant has used the positioning technique for the analysis open shell system of Li (Is2 2s) State.

Investigation of the Nuclear Structure of Some Ni and Zn Isotopes with Skyrme-Hartree-Fock Interaction
...Show More Authors

The inelastic C2 form factors and the charge density distribution (CDD) for 58,60,62Ni and 64,66,68Zn nuclei has been investigated by employing the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock method with (Sk35-Skzs*) parametrization. The inelastic C2 form factor is calculated by using the shape of Tassie and Bohr-Mottelson models with appropriate proton and neutron effective charges to account for the core-polarization effects contribution. The comparison of the predicted theoretical values was conducted with the available measured data for C2 and CDD form factors and showed very good agreement.

PHYSICAL ADSORPTION OF REFORMING CATALYST BY NITROGEN
...Show More Authors

Physical adsorption by nitrogen gas was studied on seven commercial platinum reforming catalysts (RG-402, RG-412, RG-432, RG-451, RG 422,RG-482, PS-10), four prepared platinum catalysts (0.1%Pt/alumina, 0.2 %Pt/alumina, 0.45 %Pt/alumina and 0.55% Pt/alumina), and -alumina support. Physical adsorption was carried out by using Accelerated Surface Area and Porosimetry (ASAP 2400 device) at 77 K . The results indicate that the surface area in genaral decreases with increasing platinum percentage, high platinum loaded (0.45% and 0.55%) it was found that the percent increasing in surface area was lower than those obtained for low platinum loaded catalysts , and at very higher platinum loading 0.6 %Pt , some reduction in surface area was

Effect of Nano Powder on Mechanical and Physical Properties of Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composite
...Show More Authors

Fiber reinforced polymer composite is an important material for structural application. The diversified application of FRP composite has taken center of attraction for interdisciplinary research. However, improvements on mechanical properties of this class of materials are still under research for different applications. In this paper we have modified the epoxy matrix by Al2O3, SiO2 and TiO2 nano particles in glass fiber/epoxy composite to improve the mechanical and physical properties. The composites are fabricated by hand lay-up method. It is observed that mechanical properties like flexural strength, hardness are more in case of SiO2 modified epoxy composite compare to other nano
