Ambient Turbulence Intensity Calculation for Al-Nasiriyah Province in Iraq

Before setting a turbine in a wind farms allocated for power generation, it must be know the appropriate turbine class for that site depending on the turbulence intensity of the winds in the studied area and the IEC-61400 standard. The importance of identifying a class of wind turbine is due to the complex environmental conditions that produce turbulent air which, in turn, may cause damage to the turbine blades and weakness in the performance. Therefore, the ambient turbulence intensity is a very important factor in determining the performance and productivity of the wind turbines.
In this research we calculate Turbulence Intensity "TI" in the province of Nasiriyah, south of Iraq (Lat. 31.052049 , Lon. 46.261021) for the years 2008, 2009, and 2010, in addition to determine the wind turbine class that appropriate for the site after comparison with the Normal Turbulence Model "NTM" belongs to IEC 61400-1, edition2 and IEC 61400-1, edition3.

Synthesis of Six and Seven-membered Heterocyclic Molecules Containing an Adamantyl Fragment and an X-ray Crystal Structure of (E)-N-(adamantan-1-yl)-1-(3-nitrophenyl)methanimine

       Our work included a synthesis of three new imine derivatives—1,3-thiazinan-4-one, 1,3-oxazinan-6-one and 1,3-oxazepin-4,7-dione—which contained an adamantyl fragment. These were produced via the condensation of the Schiff`s base (E)-N-(adamantan-1-yl)-1-(3-aryl)methanimine with 3-mercaptopropanoic acid; 3-chloropropanoic acid; and maleic, citraconic anhydride, respectively. These new imines were prepared via the condensation of adamantan-1-ylamine and 3-nitro-, 3-bromobenzaldehyde in n-BuOH. We obtained a good yield of products. Analyzing Laser Speckle Pattern Using the Discrete Cosine Transform

The use of Cosine transform to analyze the model-noise pattern alteration with different vibration model applied on multimode fiber optics are studied. It's results compared with the Fourier transform to perform the same analysis using total frequency difference and the computation time, which almost coincide for the both transforms. Flow Over the Spillway of AlAdhiam Dam Under Gated Condition

Elastic Form Factors and Matter Density Distributions of Some Neutron-Rich Nuclei

Investigation Desulfurization Method Using Air and Zinc Oxide/Activated Carbon Composite

In present work examined the oxidation desulfurization in batch system for model fuels with 2250 ppm sulfur content using air as the oxidant and ZnO/AC composite prepared by thermal co-precipitation method. Different factors were studied such as composite loading 1, 1.5 and 2.5 g, temperature 25 oC, 30 oC and 40 oC and reaction time 30, 45 and 60 minutes. The optimum condition is obtained by using Tauguchi experiential design for oxidation desulfurization of model fuel. the highest percent sulfur removal is about 33 at optimum conditions.
