Amplification and cloning the gene of bovine leukocyte α-A-interferon in cells of Escherichia Coli

Interferon’s plays a role in innate immune responses through upregulation of costimulatory molecules and induction of proinflammatory cytokines. Interferon alpha (IFN α) type of Interferons. The present study characterized IFNα cDNA . The interferon’s play a great role in protection from infections, caused by microorganisms, and have powerful antiproliferative and immunomodulation activity. In this study DNA was isolated from bovine blood leukocyte, which was used in the quality of matrix for amplification of α-interferon gene with the use of PCR, and isolation of gene α-interferon and transformation in vector pUC18 and expression vector pET24b (+). All plasmids contained an additional DNA fragment size corresponding to the gene of bovine α-A-interferon.

Enhanced Relative Humidity Sensor via Diameter of No-Core Fiber Structure

Single mode-no core-single mode fiber structure with a section of tuned no-core fiber diameter to sense changes in relative humidity has been experimentally demonstrated. The sensor performance with tuned NCF diameter was investigated to maximize the evanescent fields. Different tuned diameters of of (100, 80, and 60)μm were obtained by chemical etching process based on hydrofluoric acid immersion. Bioremediation of Soil Contaminated with 2,4-D Herbicide Using Bioslurry Reactor

Ex-situ bioremediation of 2,4-D herbicide-contaminated soil was studied using a slurry bioreactor operate at aerobic conditions. The performance of the slurry bioreactor was tested for three types of soil (sand, sandy loam and clay) contaminated with different concentration of 2,4-D, 200,300and500mg/kg soil. Sewage sludge was used as an inexpensive source of microorganisms which is available in large quantities in wastewater treatment plants. The results show that all biodegradation experiments demonstrated a significant decreases in 2,4-D concentration in the tested soils. Photoconductivity of sensitization (ZnO/ Polystyrene(PS))Composites by Rose Bengal Dye

The photoactive behaviour of rose bengal dye sensitized (ZnO/ Polystyrene (PS)) composites was studied. Two concentrations of composite(30% Zn0/70% PS) and (50% ZnO 150% PS) with (0.05 0.1.0.3,1%)weight percentages of dye were used. The composites are photoconductive and the photoconductivity action spectrum gives the effect of the dye in the visible region.

In the absence of dye within the composites,  no photoactivity  is

observed  in this  region  of the spectrum. The photoconductivity  is affected by the dye content.

Time of flight technique was used to measure response time. The

rise time of the photocurrent is fast and the decay is slow.

Effect of Cold Atmospheric Plasma on Osteoporosis by FE-DBD System

The work demonstrates the effect of cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) on adult female rats suffering from osteoporosis, the used plasma was generated by a floating electrode-dielectric barrier discharge system with an electrode diameter of 3 cm. The output power was from (12-20) watts. The effect of non-thermal plasma was observed on rats with various exposure times of 20, 30, and 40 sec. It was noted that the blood calcium percentage of animals exposed to cold plasma increased, as well as an increase in the level of vitamin D3 at the same time, it is noted that there is no effect on parathyroid hormone level.
