Evaluation the Effect of Bio-Fertilization on Some Wheat (Triticum Aestivum) Growth Parameters under Drought Conditions

Field experiment was conducted during 2018- 2019 in loam soil at the research field of the Department of Biology, College of Science, Baghdad University, Baghdad, Iraq, to study the effect of bio-fertilizers and two levels of chemical fertilization ( 50% and 100%) in some agronomic traits of wheat Triticum aestivum L. cultivar IPA 99  by the genus Azotobacter chroococum and AMF Glomus mosseae singly or in combination under drought condition. The experimental design was a Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD)with three replications. The results revealed that the application of bio-fertilizers reduced the negative impacts of water deficit. However,   (Azoto+AMF) were significantly increased  the means of plant height, flag leaf area, flag leaf chlorophyll content and the fresh weight of total vegetative ( 86.81 cm, 65.45 cm2, 49.55 SPAD, 37.93 g) respectively compared to the control treatment at 20% water deficit and 50% fertilization. Besides, there was no antagonism between A. chroococcum and Glomus mosseae, which can recommend to use them as bio-fertilizer.

The Effect of Operating Conditions of Urea Dewaxing on the Pour Point of Light Lubricating Oil

An investigation was conducted for dewaxing of lubricating oil fraction by urea to reduce the pour point. In this study mixture of 45 % methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and 55 % toluene was used as a solvent. The studied variables are mixing time (10-70 min), solvent to oil volume ratio (0.5:1- 2:1), urea to wax weight ratio (2- 6) and constant mixing speed 1500 rpm. By analysis of the experimental results, the best operating conditions achieved are mixing time 40 min, solvent/oil 2:1 volume ratio, and urea/wax 4:1 weight ratio. At these conditions the pour point of the lubricating oil decreases from 24 ° C to -13 °C.

EFFECT OF SPRAYING ORGANIC EMULSION (APPETIZER) AND NANO NPK WITH UREA ON SOME GROWTH CHARACTERISTICS OF THREE SYNTHETIC CULTIVARS OF MAIZE: EFFECT OF SPRAYING ORGANIC EMULSION (APPETIZER) AND NANO NPK WITH UREA ON SOME GROWTH CHARACTERISTICS OF THREE SYNTHETIC CULTIVARS OF MAIZE

A field experiment was carried out at the research station of the College of Agriculture - Wasit University / Kut, during the fall season 2021 in soil with texture (sandy mixture) using the RCBD design in the arrangement of splintered plates and with three replications, to study the effect of spraying different combinations of organic emulsion (Appetizer) and NPK nano fertilizer with urea fertilizer on the growth of synthetic cultivars of yellow corn. The main panels included three synthetic varieties of yellow corn (Fajr1, Sumer and Baghdad3), which symbolized by (V1,V2,V3) in sequence, while the secondary panels included five fertilization treatments in which mineral fertilizer (urea) was used 46% nitrogen with the full recomme

Evaluation of the effect of addition of polyester fiber on some mechanical properties of heat cure acrylic resin

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the effect addition of polyester fibers on the some mechanical properties of heat cured acrylic resin (implant strength, flexural strength and hardness) Materials and methods: Ninety specimens were used in the study. Thirty specimens were used for impact strength measurements (80mm X 10mm X 4mm) length, width and thickness respectively. The specimens divided into three test groups (n=10), first group formed from heat cure acrylic resin without fiber reinforcement. Second group was formed from heat cure acrylic resin was reinforced with 2 mm length polyester fiber and third group was formed from heat cure acrylic resin reinforced with 4mm length polyester fiber, impact strength measured by impact test

The Effect of Gas Flow on Plasma Parameters Induced by Microwave

In this paper, construction microwaves induced plasma jet(MIPJ) system. This system was used to produce a non-thermal plasma jet at atmospheric pressure, at standard frequency of 2.45 GHz and microwave power of 800 W. The working gas Argon (Ar) was supplied to flow through the torch with adjustable flow rate by using flow meter, to diagnose microwave plasma optical emission spectroscopy(OES) was used to measure the important plasma parameters such as electron temperature (Te), residence time (Rt), plasma frequency (?pe), collisional skin depth (?), plasma conductivity (?dc), Debye length(?D). Also, the density of the plasma electron is calculated with the use of Stark broadened profiles

Study the effect of hot aqueous extract of beetle cocoon Larinus maculatus F. on some physiological parameters in male albino mice

Abstract: The study aimed to investigate the effect of oral administration of hot aqueous extract of beetle cocoon Larinus maculatus Faldermann, in a two doses 50 and100mg/Kg/B.wt for 3 and 6 weeks respectively on the levels of serum glucose, weight of body, and lipid profile in male mice Mus musculus. The results revealed that there was a significant (p<0.05) decrease in serum glucose level was dose and period dependent. Weight of body also reduced significantly (p<0.05) with doses and period dependent. The lipid profile level significantly (p<0.05) decreased in dose and period’s manner in each of Total cholesterol (TC), Triglyceride (TG), High Density Lipoprotein- (HDL), Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), and Very Low Density Lipoprotei

Evaluation of Some Biochemical Parameters and Hormones In Patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in Iraq

The effect of myeloid leukemia,  especially cute myeloid leukemia (AML), has been widely noticed on the parameters of liver and kidney functions and the levels of certain hormones. This study aimed to evaluate a number of biochemical parameters of liver and kidney functions and hormones in Iraqi subjects with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia. Eighty newly diagnosed AML adult patients (40 males and 40 females) and forty healthy individuals (20 males and 20 females) with an age range of 16-75 years were involved in this study during their attendance at the Hematology Department of Baghdad Teaching Hospital/ Medical city in Baghdad province from March 2019 to February 2020. Blood samples were collected from all subjects for
